One of my friends, a successful businesswoman and very good singer, said that her plan for when she gets laid off is to become a "Susan Boyle impersonator."  She said she loves what SB has done for frumpy, middle-aged women!

Now I'll decide which Blu-Rays I shall watch - many choices and a couple I haven't seen, like The Reader.

We have to get these post up to, at least, Page Six so that this day will be Memorial for Bk, as well.  Sorry, I don't have a scanner, so I can't post my dad's photo.

I don't know why, she swallowed the fly

Years ago, Seattle had an outdoor theater on Green Lake called the Aqua Theater.  One year, Kathryn Grayson did KISMET (I think) at the theater; and during the performance of one of the songs, the audience was entertained by watching this giant moth fly around Miss Grayson while she sang.  And, of course, before she had finished singing, the moth had flown into her mouth and was swallowed.

I haven't figured out how to use the scanner I have, DR TCB, so I swiped the photo I posted from my sister's post on:

My sister is pretty much computer challenged, so I doubt very much that she has my dad's picture posted anywhere but her nightstand.

I was too damn lazy today to even go buy some hamburger to grill.  Still, barbeuced hamburgers and hot dogs, with my sister's potato salad would be my number one favorite picnic food (or does that count as three?)

My thanks to George for his nice comments about GUYS AND DOLLS.  And also for driving all the way up to see the show.  I certainly am glad that I got talked into playing Arivde, the show and the cast were quite wonderful, despite the opinions of certain Tacoma theater folk.

I'm very appreciative and proud of the genealogy work my sister has done.  She really astounded me with this presence on the internet.

Does a microwaved frozen dinner count as a picnic if I have the patio balcony sliding door open?

I mowed my yard today, not realizing it was almost 90 degrees (hot for here).  I didn't take water out there and got a bit over heated.  But, after drinking a gallon of water,a cool shower and relaxing a little I felt much better

I love my cousin's Family CD! I've been looking through it and getting rather sentimental over the photos. I came across this one of my mother and me from around 1951 and it's very funny.

Richard and I just had hotdogs and baked beans in the family room with the windows open.  We watched my new Barbra Streisand CDs and pretended we were on the lawn at Arrowhead Pond.

"Picnic" is a state of mind.
