And the word of the day is: COCKAIGNE!
Tonight has NCIS, GLEE, LOST, and, of course, IDOL. They're singing songs from the movies tonight, and with only four contestants left, each one is singing two songs.

Bradlee's
Still no VAIO.
DR JOSE - you are quite the traveler.
Loved Adele.....married to Glenn Langan, I think.
The frustrating day continues: I ordered from an Amazon.com vendor what I thought was a vocal score for Victor Herbert's operetta THE SERENADE. Well, it is. Sort of. Kessinger has reprinted the vocal score, which is about 8x11 inches, then cut it down - not reduced it - to fit a 6x9 binding: the sides of the music are cut off and the bottom stave of the piano is missing. Try explaining this to a non-musician. and the asses charged me $30 for this piec e of crap. So, i'm raising hell with amazon as well as the marketplace vendor since Kessinger, the reprint house, refuses to put their address on this product. I am very annoyed at the moment.

I really love some of the "small touches" the producers of "Chuck" have been employing.
Last night, there were two simply wonderful ones that made me laugh with delight!
I totally forgot to point out how wonderful the Olympia Brain's Rod was. The actor did a fantastic job with the role, and I think I may have liked his performance even more then the LA Rod (which is saying a lot, since the LA Rod was really quite wonderful).
Kudos also to the Olympia Brain's Donna. I enjoyed watching her as well. A few times she was a bit too hyperactive, but otherwise I thought she did quite nicely.
And DR George, next time, if there is a next time, that a theatre in your area does THE BRAIN..try out for the part of Private Parts. I just know you could do a great job with that part!

Does nobody name their daughters Adele any longer?
THE FARMER IN ADELE - wasn't that a film from - oh, wait, this is a family site
Did they give you food on the flight for that price?
Congrats to DR George and the cast and crew of the Olympia BRAIN for the good reviews!!!

I just found out something that really gets my allergies going. Fresly cut grass! It's almost as bad for me as perfume or cigarette smoke. My eyes were burning. :(
(luckily i was not cutting grass just near it).
Wow that is great DR Jose that you were able to travel for $10. Were there any extra charages added? Did they give you food on the flight for that price?

DITTO!
Holy moley on rye, I've just been dealing with yet another pressing plant screwup - this one so stupid as to just boggle the mind. I got an e-mail this afternoon telling me someone had received their Legend of the Lost CD and the label film on the CD itself was for Last Man on Earth - a CD we haven't even pressed yet, and may never press (it was supposed to be two releases ago but we had to put a hold on it for various reasons that may or may not get worked out). The music ON the CD is Legend of the Lost, and the rest of the packaging is fine. So, I've made the plant repress the entire run and tomorrow they will send replacements to all the dealers overnight - that way by the time they get their shipments they'll already have the replacements ready to include.
I'm not sure what i'll get around to watching tonight. Defintely DWTS results.
DR Cillaliz have you chosen your favorite yet? My favorite is nicole and derek. Followed by evan and anna. I do like maks and erin. But like the other two teams better.
I"m not that crazy about chad and cheryl. I have not found his dancing to be too great. Niecy is actually growing on me. I love her personality. And i actually think she was better than chad. Although i'd suspect he is more popular.
Another incredibly busy day. Zach had his "tour" day at his new middle school, where we were forced to sit through an abbreviated version of their exciting (NOT) BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Belle actually sang quite well, the Beast was, well, a beast. ;) I also figured out how to fix the nonworking garage door opener remotes for the new house, which made me feel manly. :) (It had to do with the order of the dip switches). Then I got home to the Fed Ex package containing a rather large sum of money and the signed rental agreement. Still giggling about that one--hope the joke is not on us. Then I finished my Spartacus review after getting confirmation that what I was seeing was indeed what I was seeing.
And, yes, ORDER OF THE DIP SWITCHES is inevitably going to be the title of something or other. :)
Today on my train ride in, I finished Neil Gaiman's AMERICAN GODS and I have to say it was a completely wonderful read! Aside from the breakneck unfolding of the plot (it seemed to me that something happened on almost every page), I was amazed at Gaiman's ability to bring each and everyone of his huge cast of characters to such vivid life, including his main protagonist who is essentially a cipher for most of the book and yet is so charismatic that I developed a little crush on him.) For me, there were only two lulls in the book, but that might have been a results of reading those sections after not getting enough of a good night's sleep the night before. And I was glad that I have a healthy education in mythology--it seems that a lot of people reading the book are reporting on Twitter that they are thrown by their lack of knowledge of the various gods and god-like figures. Jeeze--didn't these people ever read a THOR comic?
I have to choreograph a DIFFERENT hula number today, my sister doesn't think the one I have done will work.....finish the trivia questions....
And since I am attending a performance of TITANIC THE MUSICAL tomorrow - and working Thursday and Friday....I have to get it finished today.....without my computer.

One of my all-time favorite Broadway scores.
I watched two episodes of the new season of THE TUDORS this evening. So I'm ready for Episode Four now. I had some problems with Episode Three: I don't buy for a second Henry's asking the divorced Anne of Cleves to go to bed wth him, since he found her so repellent that he never consummated the marriage. I know he became friendlier with her after the divorce and she was a well-liked figure, but I didn't buy the bed thing at all. I'm also not fond of Catherine Howard, who's just a little too Valley Girl for my taste. God knows she was a moron and the stupidest of all six wives, but she's just a bit too dumb and gauche to buy as someone an ambitious family could foist off on Henry.

I loved Anansi Boys and Graveyard Book. Willh have to check out American Gods.
I do hope you're following this up with Anansi Boys. . .
Tell me, have you read Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN series?
Have you read Good Omens?
Do you read Terry Pratchett as well?
I also really liked Gaiman's The Graveyard Book. . .
Jose _ i wondered where you had gotten to - I enjoyed your photo scavenger hunt - thank you for the link

Apparently my aunt loved the honey cake (she called after dinner).
This is an old family recipe and has lots of raisins in it!
Strange, I don't see it anywhere else
It was evacuated. I just came from Times Square. I don't know any details but I couldn't go from Broadway and 46th to Broadway and 47th due to police activity.
Jose - I can't tell, have you been getting my e-mails?
What great photos DR JOSE!

I was also going to ask about extra charges. I wish I could fly someplace for $10, extra charges or not.

Mike, what about our favorite chorus boy?
George - that review makes me even more envious of those that were able to see your production. Congratulations to teh cast and crew!
