And the dish, in time for V-D, is Muskrat Love, right?

You get V-D from muskrat?

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I returned from Lima to a Facebook message from my cousin that my aunt has been taken back to the hospital and admitted for testing.  Now, if they'd done that 48 hours ago, when she was already in the building, it would have saved a lot of people a lot of stress.  I've told my cousin that I'll wait until tomorrow to go out there, unless there's an immediate need.

So Ms. Streisand accepted her award and then sang a 7 1/2 minute medley of her hits as well as a song from her last album and two songs from her upcoming Marilyn and Alan Bergman album:  Windmills of Your Mind and The Promise/ How Could I Ever Say Goodbye.  She sounded mostly great, but she does have that raspy quality on the high notes.

I bet you would never say that about Brent!

Words of wisdom Woody leaned from Alton Browns's latest cook book:

More people get salmonella from iguanas than from eggs.

Wouldn't that be iguanella?

...Sickness. Not fun.

Today has consisted of freezing all night, waking up to a shower of hell-ness, passing out for another few hours, waking up to Mom with nice soup (Gotta love a Mom with soup), watching "La Cage Au Falles" in french, and playing make-over before coming on here.

The best part of the day was the soup and the fact that my eyebrows match my hair for the first time in seven years or so. *Laughs*

How's everyone else doing so far then? And feel better vibes to all who need them.

DR ELMORE - the meeting wasn't quite so bad....although some people keep jumping in with motions that someone of us have to refer to committee before they want to vote on them.....come on, people.

Pancakes without butter - this is a concept that does not compute.

Except NOW I want pancakes.

I didn't eat before the meeting and now I am home and it's been a LONG time and the company won't leave so I can eat.

We've seen the damned baby - it looks like a baby.  Take it home so I can eat.

I am liking some of the photos on the ATLAS SHRUGGED FaceBook page.....I expect a misfire and some bad reviews but there it is....for what it is.

I predict reviews that will make those for SPIDERMAN: TURN OFF THE DARK look like raves.

I think I shall skip the Grammy Awards tonight - the few times I have begun to watch it, it seems that people are on their worst behavior....and have NO IDEA how to dress.

DR KEVIN H - thanks for the show info.....wearing a suit to a black tie event is a faux pas - you were right and the other guys were wrong.

As I keep telling people I meet in Indiana at funerals, weddings, and graduations:

There is NO SUCH THING as a pair of DRESS JEANS.

I only like potato pancakes.

The other kind just soak up syrup and give you a sugar rush.  Not good.  Except for kids.

 ;D

If you use honey in place of syrup, you can get a similar sweeting effect without having the cakes absorb a lot of sweet.

I often skip syrup and add a good slathering of fine fruit preserves.

der Brucer

If a pancake is rich in flavor it taste delicious plain, and they are cooked in butter.

I believe that the presentation tends to drain the grasp of the thesbian.

Beware of America's latest assassins - The Girl Scouts!

Just two Tagalong cookies contain 25% of your daily allowance of saturated fat >:(

der Brucer

It is healthier, and less expensive, to just give them a donation than to buy boxes of cookies.
