I was having a bad day at work.
My bartender didn't show up until passed 1:15 (due at 10), nor could she be reached by phone as her cell phone inbox was full and no messages could be delivered.
It was a Steelers' home game day, and I was stuck with managing, serving and bartending - go ahead, call me a wench!
The kitchen is down to one cook per shift on Sundays.
All my people wanted orders from both sides of the kitchen's line.
My bartender showed up having slept in. AND having forgotten her cell phone at the downstairs bar last night.
Fortunately, my second shift server showed up twenty minutes early for her shift.
Went to Borders and got my Entertainment Weekly, which calls FUNNY FACE a "mishmash," and the dvd of JONATHAN LIVINSTON SEAGULL.
The latter sent me online to see what Richard Bach was up to, hence the above link for the esteemed BK.
Got a big grocery order, then cooked country fried steak and country gravy.
The DD Dixie Bell has been out for THREE walks already today.
. . . and I'm looking forward to DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES tonight.
