Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no nominations, and now it is time for you to post until the nominated cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EXPEDITE!
-
First post after BK.
-
And my power just went out!! :o

Pay your bill!

That's pretty cool about Maureen, Fred.
Her performance in "Belie of Amherst" this spring was also amazing, since Emily Dickinson is the way, though she interacts with others. The director had a lot of the new info about what Emily Dickinson really was in life, much livelier than the Julie Harris performance, and it worked with the actual text (or they got the Ok from the author, who's still around and working in his 80s.)

I was just up here in my bedroom watching Stephen Colbert (and recording The Tonight Show and burning a DVD on my computer :'( ) and everything just shut off! I'm surprised that I'm still able to post on my tablet because that's wi-fi only.
-
And my power just went out!! :o
Pay your bill!
It's set for auto-pay!
-
And my power just went out!! :o
Are lights off in the whole area?
-
Power vibes to George!

Are lights off in the whole area?
I don't know. I'll have to investigate.
-
Power vibes to George!
Thanks, Fred!

Maybe because the show "The IUNherutance" had these themes, this "Will and Grace" clip seems to be going around again in emails.
The one where Ben Platt plays a young gay man Will is dating who assures Will that he "knows all about Stonehenge"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mznlJjS993U
Ben Platt's line around 1:45 about the Lyft seemed shocking for non-late-night TV two years ago, but frank talk in TV must have accelerated since then. It seems like a tame joke now.
-
so, what's everybody got planned for Thanksgiving?
-
Whew! The power's back on. I don't know what happened, though. My DVR automatically started recording again, but I'll have to redo the DVD that I was burning on my computer...which isn't a problem.
-
so, what's everybody got planned for Thanksgiving?
My family is all going to my sister's house.
-
I am going to my chosen family at Sharry and Micheal’s house!
-
Ours gets a little weird. My s-i-l is from Thailand and doesn't like turkey so we are having lamb (me) and Peking duck ( s-i-l). I'm making roasted baby potatoes, green beans with almonds and garlic bread. For dessert i'm making peach cobbler and banana cream pie.
-
is anybody else cooking?
-
I am making the pumpkin dessert.

Shouldn’t she be making Bangkok duck?
-
that would a river catfish.
-
I am glad to see that the LA regional awards still give out separate awards for actor, and actress. Seattle has decided to combine them into one award, so as not to offend those people who do not identify with either male or female.
-
I would prefer that they add a best them, they award; and keep the best actor and best actress.

I also don't like turkey, and my sister and niece are vegetarians, and my parents like a "traditional" Thanksgiving meal.
-
I was asked to make a cheesecake for dessert.

I didn't know that there was an award for best address.
;)
-
Couldn’t they have given an award as best performer in a female role, and best performer in a male role? Would that still offend people?
-
I gotta tell you.
-
I haven't gotten a confirmation e-mail. Tried again from a different address and nothing there either, so I've written the owner of the site to have him check on it.
-
George, it isn’t nice to change the spelling in one of my quotes.
-
Good night, BK.
-
Good night, jan.
-
my nephew is a budding chef and is making a squash soup, a salad, wild rice with mushrooms, scalloped potatoes, sweet potato wedges with honey and oil and corn salad with bacon. i tried to talk him out of some of it but he became very pissed so we are having enough for a small army.

There certainly are more options these days.
-
Good night, Tom.

Please send any leftover scalloped potatoes to me by overnight express.
-
i would but since nephew has never made them before and has a 50-50 success rate, i don't know if you want them.

My mom makes them all the time...her recipe is actually a box from WinCo. :D
-
Good night, jan. I'm off now, too.
Have a good day, all!
-
Page two? Really?
-
That hasn't happened for quite some time.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am home again today and looking forward to this morning's impeachment hearings. I'll finish the choral piece today, so I can mail it tomorrow.
-
My Social Security landed today so I can purchase a new printer.
-
And more Fancy Feast.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Back is feeling better after a good night’s rest.
-
I usher tonight for a tour of the musical Once. Looking forward to it.
-
Good morning
-
Heading into work early, have a great day all!
-
Voted and confirmed.
-
I hope the hearings don't preempt JUDGE JUDY again.
Yes, I know they are important - but EVERY CHANNEL FOR EVERY MINUTE OF THE DAY? We can watch on the news channels or the government channels.....and of course the dueling wrap ups on the different news networks gives us what we need to know.....
-
I couldn't even watch Allison Hayes movies for 12 hours a day.....
-
Good morning, all.
-
Heading out to vote and be confirmed.
-
I couldn't even watch Allison Hayes movies for 12 hours a day.....
LOL! No one could survive her sneer for so long!
-
When I was copying The Man Who Came to Dinner from the DVR the other day, I had the volume on very low so as to know it was running okay while getting other things done at the same time. I swear, every line, every inflection, the pacing, it all sounded as familiar as if I'd heard it the day before. But it wasn't the day before that I'd seen and heard it so many times. It was, for the most part -- ahem -- half a century ago. One can say this about many films, of course. But this one really struck me.
-
I must confess, DR JRand69, I find the hearings fascinating, more for the questioning and the attitude and inuendo of the inquisitor than the testimony.
-
Page 3 Dance!
-
In a little while I'm going to try copying one of my last remaining VHS tapes using the same setup as with the DVR. This method creates an actual computer video file that can be edited. In the past I've only ever used a VHS-to-DVD copier for such things, so this will be most interesting.
-
I must confess, DR JRand69, I find the hearings fascinating, more for the questioning and the attitude and inuendo of the inquisitor than the testimony.
Ain't that the truth.
-
Good morning!
-
Voted and confirmed!
-
Same!

I would hope not.
-
I had an old cassette tape that for some reason hadn't been in a cas, and it just crumbled. Luckily, the place that had recorded it still had it in digital.
-
Now there's a no-drama story, but it's a post.
-
vixmim could have filled a page with the drama and angst of that lost recording, then the happy ending so quickly.
-
then the happy ending so quickly.
I'm curious to see if TCB can get a few joke posts out of that.
-
Or is it too early in the day on the west Coast?
-
I'm woefully behind on Home Theater Forum posts, but I spent a little time this morning ketchuping on a few, and I was gobsmacked -- gobsmacked, I tell you -- at the 12-page one about the latest 4k and Blu-ray release of IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Holy moley! I had thought I would just read the first few and the last few responses and be done with it, but I ended up trudging through the entire thing. It was like the proverbial accident you can't look away from. :)
-
I hope the hearings don't preempt JUDGE JUDY again.
Yes, I know they are important - but EVERY CHANNEL FOR EVERY MINUTE OF THE DAY? We can watch on the news channels or the government channels.....and of course the dueling wrap ups on the different news networks gives us what we need to know.....
Did anyone notice the Ambassador seemed like Judge Judy at times when she was taking nioninsesne.
-
Oh it has its moments....and yes DR ELMORE the participants fighting for camera and sound bite time are compelling....at times.
-
Shoestring Revue and Kurt Weill have arrived in Indiana.

Mercury is now direct in Scorpio....and as one site says:
When communicative Mercury travels through intense Scorpio, you receive an invitation to explore the deepest parts of your soul. The Scorpion's powerful energy makes you more aware of your desires, wants, hopes and fears, urging you to explore what's really going on underneath the mask you wear every day.
Now's the time to talk about the things that have been hidden or you've considered taboo in the past. Getting to know yourself better is a benefit of this transit, as is bonding more intimately with others. Enriching your current relationships is just one of the many positives to come out of this enlightening transit; there's so much lurking just below the surface, so don't be afraid to dive in deep.
-
Every time I hear the word TABOO - I think of that scene with Shirley Booth in COME BACK, LITTLE SHEBA.....
-
I am not familiar with the nioninsesne dialect DR FJL.
-
Good morning.
-
We were out camping earlier and cut our trip short because of two incoming storms that were going to merge. We beat the rain yesterday.
-
Since I have an unplanned day at home, I am beginning the cleaning for Thanksgiving.
-
The "baby" is now a toddler, who has probably began running since I last saw him.
-
So EVERYTHING has to be put up.
-
Although, with six adults hanging over him, it's not like he will really get into anything.
-
Aunt Wae-Ling will be here, as usual. Her family doesn't do any holidays. Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday because she loves to cook the turkey. She could do it herself. I'm surprised her dad doesn't have her cook for him at home.
-
I got several posts out of that, didn't I?
-
I have some reading to do that keeps getting interrupted. This month has been especially busy.
-
I just did an interview for French television re: my play, DICK POWELL.
I think it went well.

I am not familiar with the nioninsesne dialect DR FJL.
Yikes! I typed: like Judge Judy at times when she was taking nioninsesne. -
I'd be a terrible hearing witness. What was I typing four hours ago?
-
Maybe ir was: Judge Judy at times when she was taking no nonsense?
-
or no incense?
-
or nicoise sauce?
-
My Social Security landed today so I can purchase a new printer.
Hoo and Ray! What kind are you going to get?
-
I usher tonight for a tour of the musical Once. Looking forward to it.
I would love to see that again! It was wonderful! The only Broadway-type show that's coming to the Washington Center this season is An American in Paris. I definitely want to see it, but I'd like to see more musicals come to the Center.
-
Tonight, I'm ushering for the Taj Mahal Quartet (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/19-11-20-taj-mahal-quartet/). I'm sure that it'll be a very good concert.
-
I had an old cassette tape that for some reason hadn't been in a cas, and it just crumbled. Luckily, the place that had recorded it still had it in digital.
Whew!
-
Shoestring Revue and Kurt Weill have arrived in Indiana.
I just received Randy Rainbow's CD, Hey Gurl, It's Christmas! (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z7531QY/) :D
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep - woke up at eleven and have been catching up ever since. Rainy day here today.
-
I'm in second place as director, so if you haven't voted, please do so - it's working :)
-
vixmim could have filled a page with the drama and angst of that lost recording, then the happy ending so quickly.
So true :)
-
or nicoise sauce?
This one gets my vote. One fork up.

Keith is practically glued to watching the hearings.
-
We were out camping earlier and cut our trip short because of two incoming storms that were going to merge. We beat the rain yesterday.
Did you have a good time prior to rushing home?
-
The "baby" is now a toddler, who has probably began running since I last saw him.
As happy as I am about becoming a grandmother I also know it will be very hard living far away from those first steps of development.
-
So EVERYTHING has to be put up.
I expect having cats you are used to decorating Christmas trees, when you do that, to avoid breakage & injuries.
-
I got several posts out of that, didn't I?
And they were interesting ones as well.

so, what's everybody got planned for Thanksgiving?
Nothing.
-
I'm in second place as director, so if you haven't voted, please do so - it's working :)
Cool! :D
-
is anybody else cooking?
Nothing also means a low-calorie holiday :)
-
I was asked to make a cheesecake for dessert.
Will you make it or go to Costco?
-
George, it isn’t nice to change the spelling in one of my quotes.

Except for the bacon which will ruin the corn salad it sounds delicious.

And????
I really like it! He actually can sing, and with his guests, it's a very good addition to all the holiday recordings out there. There is one sort of political song, "Trumps Favorite Things" (because it's Randy Rainbow), but even that's really funny.
-
My Social Security landed today so I can purchase a new printer.
Great news.
-
Back is feeling better after a good night’s rest.
Wonderful. May it still be better when you return to your bed tonight.
-
I was asked to make a cheesecake for dessert.
Will you make it or go to Costco?
I'll actually make it. Years ago, I used to make them all the time, but for some reason I don't anymore.
-
My specialty (well, I thought it was special) was a chocolate turtle cheesecake, but everyone else in my family thinks that the one I made earlier this year was too rich, so I've specifically been asked to make a plain cheesecake, which is fine. And that way, we can have different toppings and everyone can have the kind they want.
-
In spite of the cats' offers to help me write, I finished the choral piece. I'm happy it's finished and I can send it off.
-
I just remembered -- If it's still there (and why wouldn't it be?) -- I created a dummy email account that was intended to help, if needed, with transferring the Gerrit Graham video. I called it creature something, so why not put it to good use?
-
Yes indeed....congratulations to MR BK on his second place - so far.
-
DR DRUXY is en television en France....we are international.
-
Have fun DR LAURA.
-
All of that makes sense DR FJL.
Today's episode of Rashomon ended just in time for JUDGE JUDY to begin in my area....
-
Back from picking up packages and some food.
-
Listening to music and relaxing.
-

Mine is a sour cream topping. Other toppings can be added to it. I like it best as is.

Examples of the differences in libraries.
I put an eBook hold on John Grisham's new book, The Guardians. At my local library I am #163 in the queue on 29 copies. At the Ashland library I am #32 on 18 copies. Usually there is a larger discrepancy between the libraries. This book is obviously very popular.
DR George I haven't signed into Pierce yet. Can you quickly see what this book looks like there?
-
This afternoon we had a beautiful walk on the fallen autumn leaves.
-
We stopped for a bit and chatted with a couple we haven't seen in awhile.
-
They had been traveling in Portugal & Ireland.
-
One stop they enjoyed was the town where THE QUIET MAN was filmed.
-
While out walking they discovered a castle that had been turned into a 5 star hotel. They enjoyed walking around the grounds. I would like to visit there.
-
I have been looking at photos. It is beautiful https://www.flickr.com/photos/lemmo2009/42573600802/in/photostream/
-
We continued on our walk towards the boat launch & Kaiser Memorial. There is also the only bathroom that stays open all year.
-
Fortunately we did not actually need to use the facilities.
-
As we approached the area a large strange looking man in strange looking clothes, along with his male friend, approached us.
-
He then warned Keith to stay out of the men's bathroom.
-
Apparently there was a man in there filming with his cell phone and masturbating.
-
YUCK!

I just placed a hold (which I will delete). My hold position is #245 on 35 copies. This is about 14 weeks! :o
-
The strange man we saw said he told the disgusting man we did not see to stop or he would call the police.
-
We turned around and walked back towards home ;D
-
I can't place a hold on Timberland's copy because my holds are all used up, but TRL has 10 copies, and the wait time is "about 24 weeks"!
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
And now, I must be going. I was going to usher for the Taj Mahal Quartet, but I was sent an e-mail, asking if I would move to concessions because a couple of people had to withdraw. No problem. I can do it, so I shall.
Be back later!
-
I shall shortly be on my way to the theater.
-
Once was interesting. The audience loved it. I only saw parts of it because of the position I had to work tonight.
I would give it a mostly thumbs up. It wasn't the show. It was that the performers were better as singers and musicians than actors.
-
They had the original Bob Crowley set or a recreation of it. The direction was handled by someone from the original cast. All helped, but the romance just lacked spark.
-
I'm late for bed.
-
Good night, all.
-

Thanks. I was just curious. My libraries were 12 & 13 weeks.

Every thing I tell you

We continued on our walk towards the boat launch & Kaiser Memorial. There is also the only bathroom that stays open all year.
I keep my bathroom open all year.
-
I wasn’t aware that other people only used theirs periodically throughout the year
-
When is bathroom season?
-
And pray tell, what does one do when it is not bathroom season?
-

We must have a couple of hundred VHS tapes
-
vixmim could have filled a page with the drama and angst of that lost recording, then the happy ending so quickly.
Who is this vixmim of whom you speak?
-
Tonight at Bible study I had several people tell me that they love to watch me sing in church
-
Which was nice I guess
-
Nobody said they like to HEAR me sing in church however
-
I am glad to hear Elmore will be able to get a new printer
-
And the kitties some more fancy feast
-
I hope everyone is feeling well
-
Well it’s less than 5 hours until the tolling if the morning alarm so I guess I should head to bed
-
Since nobody came to play
-
Somebody come and play
-
Somebody come and play today
-
Somebody come
-
And sing a song
-
It won’t take long
-
Somebody come and plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
-
Todaaaaaaaaaaaay

Howdy. I lurk in HHWland as been busy behind the scenes for The Man Who Came to Dinner. It's really a fun show :)
I voted! Very thrilled that A Carol Xmas and Kritzerland got various nods. Hope everyone on this playground is well :)
-
And now, I must be going. I was going to usher for the Taj Mahal Quartet, but I was sent an e-mail, asking if I would move to concessions because a couple of people had to withdraw. No problem. I can do it, so I shall.
Be back later!
Well, the Taj Mahal concert was great!
-
The show was practically sold out!
-
I'd never heard any of his music before, and I kind of expected a serious show, but he was pretty funny.
-
Very engaging and very good, and everyone else in the quartet was great, too.
