question for those watching Idol...

I was watching / half-listening to one of the morning News/chat shows and they were talking about his one guy who had innumerable hairstyles from flat to an improvised mohawk. Any Idea who that singer is?  I will say he must have one heck of a travel bag filled with hair care products and accessories...

Dreaming about Sanjaya singing in that crazy mohawk would keep me up, too.  He is a nightmare for sure...

I should have read a bit further and I would have had my answer...  :)

Do any of you lovely DRs who are performers have any time-honored tips and tricks for memorizing material?

I find that as my brain gets older, it rebels against memorization...  What once was easy now requires painstaking work!  :(

Thanks!

The show's stylists do all the hair.  The contestants just sit there and express their wishes.

Sanjaya credited one of the guys doing hair and said he'd told him he wished he could have a mohawk...so he did seven centered-on-the-head pony tails using Sanjaya's own too-long hair.

It looked like crap...but it certainly matched Sanjaya's performance.

DR der Brucer - the local newcast this morning played the video clip of Karl Rove "dancing" last night.  The anchor's succinct summary: "That's just scary!"

Maybe Sanjaya and Rove could tour together.

That is cool!   8)

And it made me flash to that scene from the film Jeffrey where Nathan Lane plays the demented priest with a penchant for cast albums...the puppeteer controlling the strings of the characters on the My Fair Lady album cover.

It's very disconcerting to read posts that were posted in the future.

LOL. Maybe you should talk to DR JRAND, our resident psychic/tarot reader/whatever.

TOD:  My greatest win ever, hands down, was the Pulitzer Prize for SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE.

I would think it would be very difficult indeed to beat that!

Congratulations, DR ELMORE!

And blogger Patrick Lee posts this amusing tidbit:

The insipid, sub-sitcom jukebox musical Mamma Mia! is set in Greece, the birthplace of drama. That's what I call "irony".
