DRGinny, goddaughter Charlotte and I are crazy about Pete Hamill's FOREVER, the novel thay NEW AMASTERDAM seems to be plagiarizing.  It's wonderful and everyone who loves Jacdkj Finney's  great TIME AND AGAIN should read Hamill's book!

DR JRand57, as a lover of POCKETFUL OF MIRACLES, I can assure you that nothing in MISS PETTIGREW . . . reminded me of the Bette Davis film.

Yay! the first check arrived for all the work I've been doing. Makes me happy.

I understand a bomb went off in Times Square today, but there's surprisingly little news coverage.

Back from lunch.  We went back to our longtime favorite Szechuan place Shan Dong.

We started with the complimentary Sweet/Sour Soup.  It was yummilicious.

For an entree, I had the special Shan Dong Chicken and shared a plate of potstickers with my two luncheon companions.

I had several small cups of tea and a glass of water.

It was all very good.  I am full.

That is all.

I heard about this on my local news this a.m. as I was getting ready for work.  They said that the target was a military recruiting station and that someone on a bicycle had been seen in that area shortly before the explosion.

I thought they were part of the set for a minute (no joke).  Do you want them back?  (I threw them away but can retrieve them).

No, I sent you an e-mail earlier in the week, but maybe you didn't get it. Anyway, I don't need them so just let them stay in the trash.

Thanks.

Here is a GREAT video from Bravo TV of Tim Gunn and Christian Siriano having a "walk-off", followed by Heidi Klum tickling Tim Gunn .

Did anyone watch NEW AMSTERDAM on Monday?  I forgot it was on!

I watched it but it was on Tuesday night after IDOL, just like tonight. Fox slotted it after IDOL twice to try to get as large an audience as possible who will hopefully follow it to its regular Monday at 9 timeslot next week.

I'll record it tonight but will be watching LOST "live."

Got back late from lunch, so I didn't have time to catch up on any TV from last night (meaning PROJECT RUNWAY or RENO 911). I may not get to them tonight either.

Both of my library's copies of the audiobook are checked out, but I just put myself on the reserve list.

Which narrator will you have, the author or, IMHO, the superior audio by narrator Bernadette Dunne?

Either way, I think I prefer reading.

In the mail today I got the Blu-ray disc of THE ROOKIE. Disney was obviously late sending review copies since the disc streeted on Tuesday, but anyway I watched it this afternoon. Very heart-warming/tear-inducing little melodrama. Amazing how they managed to have TWO come-from-behind stories within the boundaries of one movie.

The disc is close to flawless with a nice uncompressed 5.1 soundtrack. The movie runs 128 minutes, so all I had time for on the disc this afternoon was the movie. I'll get to the bonus features tonight.

I did have time to skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS with Luke and Noah. They got to some intimate stuff late in the show while the camera was focused on the alleyway before they were interrupted.

They are on the previews for tomorrow as well where, as I predicted, the bombshell will be dropped about the solution to the visa problems for the Iraqi girl.

When I get up off the floor, I'll think of something to say to this.

The desert is in bloom. It is quite pretty. I hope it stays that way long enough for my in-laws to see it.

I'll be starting on THE CLOSER next week. We're doing a shoot with Kyra in NY next Monday (I don't get to go...) that should be a fun piece to edit. I'm booked solid through April which is nice...

CONGRATULATIONS to DR George on the progress on his re-fi.

Thanks!  I got a call from the title company and they're going to send me (overnight by UPS) the documents that I need to sign to close the loan!!  If I wanted (and I don't), I could drive up to Federal Way to do the signing, but that's about an hour north of here and I don't want to have to use a full day of vacation time to do that.  I will just need to sign the marked pages and have a couple of other pages notarized.  Then I'll send them back with their pre-paid label and it's done!  And the best part is that I won't have to make a mortgage payment for March or April!!  Two months of no payment means two months of saving that money!! ;D
