So far, no one on Facebook has broken down my door to get to this cage, which is taking up too much space in my too small kitchen.

I feel the opposite of DR Elmore re: the Tonys.  I loved everything to do with James Corden. And hated that he disappeared for a good part of the show. I get that some people want to just see awards. But I also want to be entertained.

You don't find people getting awards and reacting and the production numbers entertaining enough?  A little bit of James Corden's Watch me watch me! is enough and the show last night had more than enough Corden.  He's a wonderful actor but the Tony Awards are not about him

I also miss when they were on a stage of a regular Broadway theater. Now of course the sales revenue from the upstairs tickets is part of the game.

But is this different than years when the awards were about Rosie, or the years when it was about Hugh Jackman.  The quality is always variable based on who programs what.

Even in the days like late 1970s, when Alexander Cohen wanted to plug his own show "I Remember Mama" with Liv Ullmann, and Maureen Silliman in the other title role of "I" - composed by Richard Rodgers -

The evening's  lineup got twisted and turned and pulled to include a Richard Rodgers tribute, ending with his new show Alexander Cohen's production of "I remember Mama" for almost 4 minutes.

Also just received direct from www.broadwayrecords.com are the autographed original cast recording to Disaster!, the 2019 Tony Award Season compilation, AND Laura Benanti's Songs from My Fair Lady. :D

I recently bought a BEST OF BROADWAY 2019 CD., but strangely the CD was blank!

The rescue group Little Wanderers is going to pick up the cage on Wednesday night.  I feel that's a good deed accomplished.

We are on the train to a Seattle.  I wish I had worn something warmer as I am very cold. Otherwise it is kinda of nice vs driving.

Wave to my relatives there.

After a brief rest in our room we head back out, walked, ate dinner, found the building for the event, found a very nice market, and returned to our room.

I am ready for a nap.  I might see if I can sleep a few minutes before we head over to see William Shatner.

We just watched the latest version of A STAR IS BORN.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper were excellent, but I still think that the best telling of this story is the original with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March.

I agree. I just felt the script of this version let everyone down.

I also remember a magnificent Tony medley when Jule Style, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cy Coleman played songs from upcoming musicals. Styne's was from Treasure Island and Lloyd Webber from Song and Dance. Can't remember what Coleman played.

I'm tired. I may go to bed early. I have to get up early to get the car to the dealer. The engine light came on.

I started to watch a couple of scenes from the Tonys, which thankfully playbill.com has in abundance. I saw Elaine May's speech, Harold Wheeler's speech and the number from The Prom, which started out promising and, as BK said, got all Casey frantic and rather dull.

Back from our stumble-through.  The sound is still a bit problematic - not in the house, but for the singers and pianist - I'm going to try and get monitors for them, which will be very helpful.  It's hard teaching people how to use a mic, but they're learning.  The stumble-through itself was rough and, of course, we didn't have two performers so four numbers were not performed.  But the structure is fine.
