So, Jose, as the weather gets chillier and chillier will you still try Shake Shack frozen custard and eat it outside? You should go to Saint Paul in January to the Winter Carnival. I remember years when it was 10 below but people were outside buying and eating the ice cream sold by the vendors. At least the ice cream didn't melt into runny rivulets down your hand.

Jose, I walked by the Protest as it was about to happen. I thought I might go to a movie and I decided to walk up to Chelsea Cinemas to see what was playing. Ghost Town isn't there, it's at the theatre on 19th and Broadway. There was nothing at CC I wanted to see but I saw and heard the protesters. One of the signs said "I'm not an actor"

I saw clips from the movie and it doesn't look like anything I would want to see.

The book was/is very good.  -And from what I've been able to find, the blindness factor in the book was not protested, in fact, it was praised as metaphor for a natural disaster, a true human catastrophe.  I understand whey they would protest the movie, but the blindness in the movie is something that happens suddenly and without warning - it's not congenital.  It also happens on a mass level.  So, just as with any sort of "epidemic", there are bound to be some problems that arise from the situation.  ???

-I'll stop now before I end up offending anyone (else).

Well... I've been there three times... well... five(?) times this week already - including today, so.. Yes.

*I really just want to try the different Feature Flavors for the month.  So, I have three down, and four to go.  It just so happened, that I hadn't tried all of September's featured flavors until the end of the month, so...  Alas, they are also featuring their "Shacktoberfest" menu for the next week or so, so... We'll see.  ;)

What exactly is a suspicious looking bottle?  And is someone leaving suspicious looking bottles near the tunnel at rush hour on purpose?

It seems to me if the world suddenly went blind the people who have been blind prior to this would become the caregivers, or teachers of the newly blinded.  Is this at all part of the story?

Good morning, all! I got caught up in reading the new Stephen Schwartz book and got to bed after 1. I'm a bit draggy this morning.

DRvixmom, the Pepperidge Farm orange cranberry bread is divoon! I see there are several other new breads in this series as well, but it's great for breakfast with a bit of low-fat butter substitute.  I think li'l Mikey would like it as well.

I was thinking it might make a nice sandwich with some chicken salad  or turkey salad as well...

It turned wet and chilly here today.  I much preferred yesterday's comfortably cooler from the heat wave temps.

Not really.  Since there are sooo many people afflicted with the blindness at once, they are basically "herded" into quarantine since the authorities are not prepared to deal with such a situation.  -And the authorities are also blinded too.  Like many of the reviewers stated, it can be related to the situation of the Hurricane Katrina refugees, or of the famines in Africa.

I'm gonna take my leave for a few hours, so that I may watch that Bollywood movie, AAMIR; it's the one without songs, but loads of action.

TCB, I think you can only have a large photo if you had previously (under the old system) downloaded a photo to HHW.

Otherwise, it would seem you are out of luck.

However, there are many previous TCB photos in the cache for you to choose from, I noticed.

I also noticed them.  I'm not sure which ones they are.  Maybe someone more talented than I can adjust the size of your current photo so you can re-post it.

I did indeed have prosciutto and melon balls - so good.  About three and a half ounces of prosciutto, sliced thin, and a cupful of balls.  :)

Tom, regarding the size of your avatar, the boat picture is not in the cache of photos in the Personalized Photo section. For some reason, no matter how it is sized, if a picture is used from a source other than the cache in the Profile section it is squeezed down to a small size so whatever you do to your boat it will be a dinghy, not a cruise ship  ;)

There are, however, some larger pictures of you in the cache if you wanted to go back to one of them. If you want to use one of the cache pictures, click on Profile at the top of the page, then click on Forum Profile Information. Click on Personalized Picture and then start scrolling. I looked through every photo in the cache. The larger versions of you are 1) Fagin (this one is close to the top of the list), TCB2, TCB3, TCB5, TCB58, Tom2a, Tom2Abw, Tom 03-06b edited.

Just scroll down and click on the pictures to see them and you can choose the one you like best. After you've chosen, click Change Profile at the bottom of the page and you should have a full size avatar again.

I just noticed we have our little computers under our star rankings again and they glow bright green if we are on and dark green if we are off and it says online or offline and we still have our glowing scroll under our avatars. Two ways to notice if someone is on.
