Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a lot of turkey, and now it is time for you to post until the Old Turkey cows come home.

The first half of the commission fee for the "Appalachian Requiem" landed in my account this morning, so that will cover the Ohio property taxes next week. That's a big burden off my proverbial shoulders.

Not a terrible sleep, but it would have been better without the annoying repetitious dream this morning about some TCM-created supplements to movies.  I'm not making this up.

DR George, I saw the first NYC production of On the Verge. It was just glorious.  I remember nothing about the actual plot, but I remember how much fun it was, and how moving, the three actresses were quite wonderful, and it was imaginatively directed.  I had forgotten that it was a production of The Acting Company.  I would have guess Roundabout or Playwrights Horizons:

1. There's a bad guy who goes after the good guy by making friends with everyone in the good guy's family without the good guy knowing about it.
2. The good guy saves the world at the end by killing/sacrificing himself.
I don't ever need to see those again.

I'm sure there are some cliché plots that I love, but I can't think of any right now.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  I needed to go in for fasting blood work today, which is our signal to go out for breakfast.  As we were finishing our meal, Richard decided to go across to the mall for a haircut and I wandered around a bit (not that there's much to see there).  I received a call from my papercrafting store that a special order came in, so we drove to Loveland to pick it up, did a couple more errands on the way home, and here we are.

That's great!  I know that the three women in our production are very good actresses.  I noticed that Tom Robbins, who played Grover/Alphonse/George Troll/Yeti/Gus/Mme. Nhu/Coffee/Nicky Paradise in that original NYC production was also in "The Cradle Will Rock" directed by John Houseman.  I watched (and recorded) this on PBS and love it. :)

This was the first time I had seen my sister since she came to the play.
Title: Re: ALL TURKEY ALL THE TIME

I got to tell that I had wanted her to meet Jane and Keith.
Title: Re: ALL TURKEY ALL THE TIME

I told her she left too soon.
Title: Re: ALL TURKEY ALL THE TIME

She said that she figured I had a lot of people waiting to talk to me.
Title: Re: ALL TURKEY ALL THE TIME

That was true, but I still wanted her to meet my friends.
Title: Re: ALL TURKEY ALL THE TIME

I had talked to her on the phone several times since the play.

I swear, for a couple who spend virtually 24 hours a day, they certainly seem to get on each other's nerves.
Title: Re: ALL TURKEY ALL THE TIME

I wanted to tell them that they both needed a time out.

Everything she said, he would argue about.  And the opposite was also true

And they argued about the stupidest things.

I have been totally exhausted this week.  Writing two appeal briefs last weekend - each around 25 pages and on totally different issues, really burned me out.  I had done most of the research, but still spent 9-10 hours on each one over the weekend.   Monday through Wednesday were very busy with work, Rotary, PEO, you name it.

Maybe it's not just work. A friend and I were talking earlier about how tired we both were feeling. That's when I checked the pollen report. Also, there seem to be some very strange things going on in the Heavens. You may be getting hit from several directions.

Well, I could have dieted instead, but I'm just being realistic.  I was feeling down about only having one suit that fit and didn't want to spend the money right now as I'm still working on paying off all the bills from my medical issues last summer, but it really helped my mood, so I think it was worth it. And a woman can't get away with wearing the same suit for more than one day of trial like a man can

That could be.  I was very stressed about a number of deadlines.  I met two of them and the third was extended. I think just the relief of having all that done was part of it too. And having the caucuses over and the incessant phone ringing and nasty ads....bleh!

I would ask Paul to go, but he's now decided that I'm a part of the vast right wing conspiracy or some such nonsense because I don't want to read Dark Water about the Koch brothers.  Good grief. He said I'm in it (whatever it is) for the money.  How long has he known me?  If I have money I'd sure like someone to tell me where it is so I can pay off the medical bills right away.

I'm a bit down about the Paul situation.  But, it's not the first time a very liberal friend has walked away from years of friendship because I became more conservative - mostly economically conservative.

I am sorry Paul is behaving that way.  You should be able to change your views without it affecting your friendship.  Especially a long time friendship.

I know.  With Paul, it may pass, but it still hurts. The other friend had been my best friend in the world for almost 30 years.  But I didn't like our current President. She hasn't talked to me since the last election

Monday is a federal holiday but not a state holiday here, so I'll be going to work at least part of the day. I only have one appointment scheduled, so I may call tomorrow and see if she can reschedule.  I do think I need a day off at some point

Suddenly, everybody is asking me what my next show is going to be.  The physical limitations haven't changed just because I did one show this year.

That's got to feel really good. Apparently people are seeing your abilities and not your limitations.  :)

I think you are right Cilla.

Paul comes back after the elections, however, his saying you are about the money has got to hurt.

The rain is back in force here in Tacomaland.

I got lucky and avoided walking in the rain today.

What about the poor dog upstairs?

He only got drizzeled on during my watch.  Tomorrow night I fear we will get very wet.

They have a raincoat by the door with his leash.  Last time I walked him in the pouring rain they said not to bother with it.  This is the Westies with a Westie clip.  If I take him in rain like that again I will try and put his coat on.

You don't know the music to "Ragtime"?  I've never seen it but I LOVE the recording.
