Now, I should think we'd best get to page nine very soon.

I must say, after a day of the printer jamming every other page, this project was very satisfying:

DR Laura--yours turned out so much better than mine.  I couldn't get rid of enough white space. :(

I watched MONK when I went back downstairs. A fair episode. Gena Rowlands and Tony Shalhoub worked wonderfully well together, but the coincidence of the killer living next door to this woman he just happens upon on the street was a little TOO convenient.

So..... the digital tv thing DOES happen next month?

I think it's a four-month delay, which would make it June or July.

They will be sending out notifications in Saturday's mail.

I sent the author my suggestions that I came up with at the work session today - they mainly had to do with the opening and closing of the show, where I found a really interesting way in and way out of what is basically a flashback.  The main author called me and told me he loved all of the suggestions and that pending the approval of the other author, they'd implement them.  I really feel they'll help the opening especially - very theatrical and totally unlike what they had.

I also watched THE OFFICE. Not as funny as some episodes though I did enjoy the debate about the "hotness" of Hillary Swank. The other story with Michael and Dwight scouting out the other paper company didn't sit well with me.

Next, I fished out of my figure skating videotape drawer the tape which contained the 2002 Winter Olympics and what do you know? It was right at the beginning of Sarah Hughes' landmark performance, so I watched the competition from her skate to the end. Unquestionably she deserved to win though if the judges had been fair and voted Michelle Kwan second in the long program instead of Irina Slutskya, Michelle would have won the gold.

LOST had another mind-blowing episode that simply flew by. I was so engrossed with it that when I glanced at the clock and it said 9:48, I couldn't believe the hour was almost over. Wow!

MattH, I was wondering what you would think of last weeks THE OFFICE. I felt the same as you did. Just not one of the best, from a show that we are so used to getting the best from.

All I got was junk mail today.

Many years ago, before my time, we got mail delivered twice a day.

Possible DVR Alert - Both "Lost" and "Damages" seem to be running over a minute or two tonight.  Adjust your setting accordingly.

I don't know about other folks' DVRs, but the cable guide with my DVR has those overruns "built into" the information for the show. It records precisely the amount of time the network claims each show will run.

Well, since "Lost" was running until 10:02pm, that was preventing the taping of "Damages" and "Top Chef" at 10:00.  -Since that would have required three tuners - just for that one minute of overlap, but still... So, we chose to tape the 11:01pm showing of "Damages", while watching and taping "Top Chef". -We still had to tape "Top Chef" since not all of us were in attendance tonight to watch it live.

Or something like that.

I am very happy that Milk and Frost Nixon will both be here starting Friday.  I have a lot of work to do over the weekend, but will have time to take in 2 movies.

OUCH!!!!

Raccoon bites off rapist's penis

That's what the idiot gets for trying to rape a raccoon.  Hope he needs rabies shots.

;D  How about the fact he admitted why the raccoon bit him. ::)

I haven't felt this letdown by an episode of the show since the first season! Just not very funny and also unsettling.

This might sound stupid too, but do most people who have cable have a cable box?

We have cable connected to three TV's:

Living room - HDTV special HDTV/DVR box
Bedroom - digital cable (gets cable channels above 100) - digital box
Kitchen - analog cable - channels 2-99 - no box

(I'm not sure what will happen with the kitchen after the conversion.)

Warm Beignets with Crème Anglaise and Heirloom Berry Jam.

That was the incredible dessert I had tonight while out to dinner with friends.  It was a very nice evening.

Well... Maybe these articles from CNET will help:

More like "Wilted". I seriously doubt that it would still be "Wandering".

Heirloom Berry Jam.

I would think after all these years, Heirloom Berry Jam would be moldy.

I've finished with my viewing for the evening.  Listening to the Girls From Bahia - lots of fun.  I also looked at the transfer of Palms Spring Weekend - it's not totally brown like most of Warners' transfers, but it ain't Technicolor.

The color in Goodbye Mr. Chips is decent and pretty accurate.  Far From the Madding Crowd looks okay, too - color not quite as good as the region 2, but it's close.
