Am home today nursing allergy symptoms that include a headache behind my left eye and a sore throat.

For the squeamish among you, I will only say that my left eye is "leaky" and leave it at that.

DRRonPulliam, that sounds truly awful.  I hope it clears up very quickly.  Are you taking anything for it?  PAGING NURSE JANE!!!

And strictly "above" the waist....

(I'm certain that "horn of plenty" was more likely wishful thinking!)

FJL, between Ben the Rat, Gentle Ben and Benjie the dog, I got so many name jokes that I stopped hearing them after a while. I guess because Ben is not that common a name, though it seems to be making a comeback, people pick up on it. No offense taken   ;D

You're my favorite Ben.  I like Ben Frankin, too!  Especially when he comes out of the ATM.

I like Ben Franklin more when he goes into my bank account.

That man's melon looked waaaay out of date. I think I'll pass.

RonP: My loverly P.A. suggested a "new" (new to me, anyway) expectorant/decongestant pill that is WONDERFUL! It's called Musinex. There's also Humibid. Apparently I'm the last singer/actor in New York to hear about these medications. They're both available OTC.

BK will be very happy.  The Evening Standard reports that sales of thongs have dropped 20% this year (Harvey Nichols has sold 43% less in this same time period this year as last year) "You do associate them with Britney past her prime, Jordan [ a Brit "reality" celeb, I believe] or Paris Hilton, none of whom are particularly classy."

I've seen commercials for Musinex and I tried it a couple of months ago when I had left over congestion from a cold. It helps.

What I love about Musinex is that it's a pill. No more nasty cough syrup!!

Alas, we did not pass inspection. The Inspector wants this valve to be pink.

I think a nice brick red would tie in the whole "desert-industrial" look. Or maybe rust orange. But pink?

Your inspector has no taste.

While they're working on a book scene in the other room...

Ah, Mucinex and Humibid!  I discovered these products a few years ago during a gig at Ford's.  We were going through one of those periods where once person got sick we all started getting sick...

What I love about both products is that they basically just treat one symptom.  The active ingredients in both products are what are found in products like Robitussin and other cough/cold/allergy formulas, but without all the other ingredients meant to treat related symptoms.  Sometimes you just don't get the related symptoms.

Well... There was one time in high school where I somehow ended up with 21 different nicknames.  21!  I even wrote the list down once in my journal.  Some of the nicknames were just special names between me and one other person, but some of them caught on among my circle of friends in high school.  Alas, some of the nicknames were not exactly endearing at the time, but that's high school for ya'.

DRJose, you are a saint.  I'm almost sorry I say such bad things about you.

Well, sometimes "true" doesn't necessarily equate with "bad".

-Am I sensing some jealousy?

My second question for ASK BK day:

Have you ever on first viewing or hearing really disliked a movie, song, or record....but as time went on, your opinion became not only favorable, but downright jubilant?

Yes, that happens quite often to me with songs. A few Bollywood ones come to mind.

Greetings all.

Aaarrrghhhh!  I am trying to write some prosaic ad copy for one of my ads (as opposed to the usual list of events), and I just keep coming up with way too much copy!   Aaaaaarrrrghhhh!

Otherwise, it is warm (and getting warmer) in Western New York.
