When do you move into your new flat George?
Well, I close on October 2nd (unless something horrible happens ::)), so I'm officially supposed to be able to take possession then! ;D
HOoray..
Dont forget to put a horseshoe above the door!
Okay, it's time for me to hit the hay...and the hay deserves to be hit! ;)
Good night, DakotaCelt! Sleep well!

I caught the farewell of Matt Ashford on the dreadful DAYS OF OUR LIVES. I wonder if our DR DakotaCelt is flying the flag at half mast?
ROTFLMAO
an archeologist said he had been in Cairo dating mummies.
I'm listening to the OCR of City of Angels right now and holding off going to the bathroom in case Tom calls.[/size] He can leave a message if I'm not at my desk but I would rather be here (I know that's too much information)
And the word of the day is: SYNDESIS!END SISSY joint pain now! Talk to your doctor about the benefits of SYNDESIS!

"Terracotta Warriors" depicts Chinese history with original music, period costumes, authentic dance, acrobatics and martial arts
By Vicki Smith Paluch Special to the Press-Telegram
U-Entertainment
As a Chinese-American, Dennis Law discovered the richness of his Chinese cultural heritage long after he had become a successful Denver surgeon. A longtime patron of the arts, Law decided to give up his medical practice to follow his passion and new-found love of Chinese performance arts. In so doing, he has created a new musical theater form, which he calls an "action-musical."
Law's action-musical, "Terracotta Warriors," will have its West Coast premiere at the Cerritos Center for the Arts today through Sunday. The show depicts the life and times of the first emperor of China by using an original score, lavish sets and costumes and an eye-popping blend of classical Chinese dance, acrobatics and martial arts.
For those unfamiliar with the story of China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, Qin had the Great Wall built, as well as the mausoleum Mount Li, where his tomb was accompanied by a stone army of 7,000 terracotta warriors to protect him in the afterlife.
To match the grandeur of the events that took place in 221 B.C., Law has written, directed and produced a show of epic proportions, featuring 350 costumes, 70 performers and 20 backdrops to illustrate the rapidly changing scenes in the production.

...Today, DR Jane, aka Nurse Jane sent me a carton of rich chocolate cookies, more like brownies actually. It's a scientific fact I can add an inch to my overabundant waistline by simply looking at one. So I eat them instead.
Of course, he wipes everyone off the screen (except the young actress who played his daughter and the actress who played his ex-wife) .
...Just looked up the names. The former is Danielle Panabaker; the latter I couldn't find.
Stark also says, "There is no defense for mediocrity," which might be true, but it's something the producers of "Shark" don't have to worry about -- not as long they've got James Woods barking and biting at his best.
wow! I talk a lot don't I
There is college football on Saturday night this week, DRMATTH....so I guess the rerun of EARL and OFFICE will not be on. I will catch them when they are rerun in November....if NOT before.
Hey I just noticed I'm over 5000 posts. wow! I talk a lot don't I
I checked the listings for the next week, and the reruns aren't there. I guess I must have imagined it. I'm really sorry if I got your hopes up. :-\
We got our first taste of winter yesterday. I thought it was pretty cold but everyone said it felt good. To each his own, I guess.
No pictures from Tom and Colin yet.
Tom just called the house and spoke to Anthony. I'm waiting to hear from him at the office. I guess he's an early riser even in the U.S.
Larry, you might see Anthony at the library today. A friend of his got tickets for the Met's dress rehearsal of Madama Butterfly at 10:30am. He said depending on when they get out and how tired he is, he might go to the library.
Just checkin' in... cuz i sure ain't sleeping!!! Oy. I'll put on something mindless and try to still the blather going in a loop in my skull... more after my nap.
Well folks I am about to leave the house to start my vacation.Enjoy yourself, Michael, in the Old Europe!
Everyone have a great two weeks and I will report real soon.
TOO MANY CONNECTIONS
Don't place a horse shoe over your door, DR George!! It may fall down on your head and that's not a lucky thing to get!!
I understand that Canadians got treated to episode 2 of GREY'S ANATOMY last night instead of the season premiere. Some screwup in NYC sent next week's episode via satellite by mistake. Next week, they're going to broadcast the season premiere though whatever surprises were there have obviously been spoiled by this error.
ABC is rebroadcasting last night's premiere at 8 p.m. in the US.
So glad you got to finally see WICKED, DR George.
I saw both AVENUE Q and WICKED on the same summer trip and loved both of them. I'm glad I wasn't a Tony voter becasue to choose between the two of them would have been a horrible decision.
I will say that I adored WICKED and couldn't have been more entertained or satisfied, but when AVENUE Q ended, I had tears in my eyes because I didn't want it to end.
DR George - I had forgotten that Shoshana took over the Wicked tour after Julia Murney left. I think it's great that she's been able to play her hometown.
Thanks for the encouragement. I think I will audition. The last 2 shows I was in were both musical revues one a Gershwin tribute and one a Cole Porter tribute. I had a blast doing them and should be able to easily work up one or two of my solos from those shows to use for an audition number.
I never seem to notice audition notices for plays here, but it seems everywhere I turn I'm seeing the notice for auditions for this revue, so maybe the universe is trying to tell me something.
DO IT!! If I can audition after not having performed in public for four and a half years, you can too!! ;D
Thanks George. I don't think this will be nearly as fun as CANIBAL THE MUSICAL, lol, but it would be a good time
Deidre Hall -- I met her once years ago at an event my cousin who wanted to go to and I felt she was incredibly rude for giving us a tongue lashing for accidently bumping into her despite our apologies. Needless to say, I was not impressed with her.
Friday Media Check:
CD - SUMMER STOCK/IN THE GOOD OLD SUMMERSTIME (soundtracks)
DVD - THE MOON-SPINNERS
THE DEAD ZONE
SAN FRANCISCO
ON DANGEROUS GROUND
Ahh, THE MOON-SPINNERS! Haley Mills, Peter McEnery, and Pola Negri -- who could ask for more? Mr. McEnery was one of my first crushes, when I was fourteen.
I found Deidre (she said "Please call me Deidre")
Francois, you and your connections... You are electric!Only if you don't feed him....
Auditions are fun, DRCILLALIZ.
For whom?
To the Good Eats fans wondering if Alton has recovered from his motorcycle wreck, we saw him flying through the square this morning on his bike, so it looks like he's made a full recovery!
I found Deidre (she said "Please call me Deidre") to be totally charming and even more beautiful in-person than on television. I guess everyone is entitled to a bad day - even celebrities.
To recap: Wicked was wonderful!!
That is all! ;D
if I can maintain my late-night energy level.
I have a question about Wicked---
I took my niece to see the touring co. in Atlanta (this is her very favorite show) and at the end of Act 1, I got the feeling that Elphaba was going to fly into the air but then she never did. I heard people around me muttering things to that effect but couldn't get a clear answer. Does she indeed take flight? Maybe there was a "wardrobe malfunction"?
The show was very impressive nonetheless.

I hope this works.

OK! I'll audition Cillaliz but I need to fly to the States to do so, or... can she come to Paris, France?! ;)
TOD - CD(car) Guy Haines; iPod (now) Wicked OCR on behalf of DR George.
Or I could stay here and sing "I Love Paris" while thinking of you :)
I would post, but I don't have anything to say today.
Or I could sing "I Love Paris" while thinking of you :)
;D
And ~~~Save Travel Vibes for DR Michael Shayne!!~~~
(if a bit belated :))
Ah, but I need an "excuse" to go back to the States! :)
You should audition for Cats! Your pets would be so proud of you! :D
I hope you go for the audition...
I like Cats and especially the song Memory
I'm not auditioning for Cats, that production is over

*This may be one of those "I guess you had to be there" moments, but...
We went to Pier 7 for dinner since it's right across the street from the theatre - I just did not want to chance the very unpredictable Friday afternoon traffic, and get stuck in Virginia. In any case...
*And if anyone is interested, I had the Shrimp Norfolk, and Andy had the Seafood Newburg. ;)
And how did you pronounce your entree, Jose?
And, actually, it was an interesting night at Cabaret tonight. Well, more like it was interesting right after the show...
A woman in the front row was so affected by the ending of the show, that she started sobbing. And her sobbing was quite "vocal". In fact, you could hear her before the curtain call started and during the call. And after the curtain call was finished and the actors had left the stage.
Someone in the audience eventually asked out loud if there was a doctor in the house, and then some ushers and the house manager came down to check on her. She said she was OK, but that she was just totally overcome with emotion. And she was still crying. I went ahead and ran backstage to get her a box of tissues, some tea and some water...
And while waiting backstage, it was very easy to tell that the actors had been affected as well by her reaction. Some people thought that she was having a heart attack. The whole situation definitely put a pall over the proceedings - and since the ending of Cabaret is not a happy one already...
The power of theatre.

Very, very carefully.
Actually, sometimes "it" malfunctions on Broadway too.
*Although, I have to say that when the Transformation does not work in Beauty & The Beast, then it truly does not work.
You are such a gentleman, DR Jose!
We know that already but it has to be said again!
(A pineapple for me!)
Now that would be sad.
And DR TleCATokad!!
