I can't find DOWNTOWN ABBY / UPTOWN ANN LANDERS on YouTube, DR FJL.  Do you have a link?

Oh, in honor of 40 views, I'd moved it to "UNLISTED by popular demand"  :)  but here's the link, bless you for asking.
I think it's a very rarefied joke, perhaps - yeah, that must be it, it's rarefied.

My question for ASK BK day - I have seen two THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL soundtracks on Ebay.  One is sort of brown with a line of dancers - the other is yellow with the familiar logo on the front.....which was the ORIGINAL release?

Went to the mall today and it was a relief to see it so quiet after all the crowds of people there during the holidays and sales. While there I had a breakfast scrambled egg and bacon baguette and bought some groceries.

My favorite oatmeal is corn beef hash with an over easy egg on top, rye toast with butter and jam and coffee, lots of coffee.

Up to 59 views, DR FJL!

It's a sleeper hit!  :)  :)

And thanks to Jrand and JohnG for putting those comments on the YouTube screen!!!

A friend said the way to make that concept work is to put Abby and Ann Landers' heads on the actors in the real show, but I suspect I'd run afoul of something involved with the real show.

Rob Marshall in talks to direct "Into the Woods."

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/rob-marshall-takes-sondheims-woods-279821

Hope it works better than "Nine."

Well, a lot of it will have to be rewritten, particularly the opening.  And actually, it already has--there are demos out on YouTube of a few new songs Sondheim wrote.  I think DR Jose posted links to them a while back...

I have it on good authority it will all be told from the point of view of Little Red Riding Hood, who has hallucinations after eating one of Grandma's "Special" brownies.

Alas, my "special" tickets for ONCE have re-distributed to the upcoming Broadway team of the show. Ah, well. I was really hoping to catch it while it was downtown.

*Strangely enough, I'm currently at Ripley-Grier where they're holding auditions for the Broadway transfer/version of ONCE.

Hmmm... Maybe I did post some links a while back, however, I believe those were from the planned Jim Henson version. Those tracks are included on the re-issue of INTO THE WOODS.

When this was announced yesterday via BroadwayWorld.com the chat boards and Twitter-sphere had a virtual aneurism - along with the possibility of the outdoor Regents Park production of WOODS coming to The Delacorte this summer.. It was crazy and stupid. However, it did end up birthing(?) one of my new favorite hashtags: #sondheimprotectionsociety. ;)

How about just using Ragni and Rado's

"Give me down to there hair, Shoulder length or longer, Here baby, there mama, Everywhere daddy daddy
Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, Flow it, show it, Long as God can grow it, My hair"

for Rapunzel?  :)
