I LOVE this CD and show!  I saw it in Seattle and it was wonderful! ;D

Was it not commissioned originally by the Seattle Opera?

Question for Cillaliz (or other wise guy legal-eagle:

If a condemned person is about to be executed, can any of the following absolutely postpone his execution:

He is scheduled to be a witness for the prosecution in another case.

He is scheduled to be a witness for the defense in another case.

He is under indictment in another case.

Two of my fellow directors are sharing a girl
both of them and another director are sharing a girl
and one of them ...requires 14 or 15 women

Boy, you theatre types are so...kinky...errrr...experimental.

I had a great time recording Das Barbecu and it meets my criteria for a good cast album - we made a CD that perfectly replicated the stage experience audio-wise.

Why do we'uns in the South not know about this? We LOVE Das Barbecu!

Did the package arrive?

It did indeed -- and promptly went into my mom's CD player in her car.  She really likes it -- and is now inspired.  I am sure she'll talk more to you about it, but she was wondering, do you just orchestrate or do you also write original music?

Was it not commissioned originally by the Seattle Opera?

LINER NOTES:
Commissioned and premiered by Seattle Opera
Subsequently produced by Goodspeed Opera
Further developed at Center Stage, Baltimore

(The Vinnie quote on the liner notes: "Barbecue? I'm a vegetarian!")

BK Is the turntable an ION? I found that but not EONs. I have some old software that I used once or twice but haven't tried in my newer computers. I think I'll try it first. If not, this looks like a great option

Is this it? http://www.amazon.com/Ion-iTTUSB-Turntable-USB-Record/dp/B000BUEMOO/sr=1-9/qid=1167265430/ref=sr_1_9/103-9039177-0056616?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

Hmm, not sure. I'm guessing that there would be a trial deposition scheduled rather than staying the execution and if he's dead, usually they don't care about additional charges, but one never knows.   I'm guessing

That's it.  I don't have it, but I remember the picture from the Amazon.com listing when BK talked about it before.

I wanted to be a composer at one time; I wrote a ton of songs and several one-act musicals in college.  I decided I was a better arranger and orchestrator than a composer. I still write occasionally, but I feel the skills suit me better in arranging another's music.

Thanx.
I have no US issue in mind; I was just thinking about the Saddam bit of executing him before the other charges involving him and other co-defendents are resolved.

Had a nice flight to SFO from Atlanta on a Delta 757.

Had my own TV screen with movies, TV, sports, etc.

I watched "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Scoop."

Both were enertaining.  Neither was great.  But then....

Am waiting until evening to go to my office and pick up whatever mail is waiting for me.  Should be some Amazon.com packages, fer shur....and then some.

Tomorrow morning, I'll visit the USPS annex and pick up my "held mail" to see what else I got in my absence.

I've had a few Guinness stouts this afternoon.

I feel no pain.  Not much, anyway.

And I'm ready for a NAP.

LOL, Boo has wanted to be sitting on my lap since I got back.

It's cold here, so cats are fighting to be in my lap or on my laptop. (Long ago they recognized my computer and drives as a source of heat. They also used to perch on top of the TV until we got a flat screen. I felt a little bad about depriving them of their warm perch.)

And now that I'm coming down with whatever my DH had on Xmas and and running a fever, I'm extra popular!

Hmm...let's see....the love and warmth of a cat that wants to be with you....or a laptop that cares naught for thee.

I think the choice you've made is the correct one.
