So, it looks like Xanax isn't what I'm looking for - of the others, Paxil, Prozac, and Ativan, which would produce a stupor-like state - you know, a floating kind of inability to focus.

I'm considering going to see Taylor Hicks tomorrow night at the Orpheum. There are still half-way decent seats available. Too bad I'm not in my new office yet, I could try to sneak in and watch the sound check before I bought a ticket

Okay, hainsies/kimlets drug addicts - I need to know what kind of drug, popular drug, would be given to someone who has had a huge tragedy - you know, to sedate and calm them down because they'd gone into a completely depressive state - is that Zanex?  Lithium?  There some flavor of the month drug whose name I can't remember that's like Zanex but isn't.  Any help?

Readers of most generations would recognize "Valium" as the tranquilizer of choice.

Lots of people in jail are on anti-anxiety meds like Xanax etc.

Valium is valuable!

I validate that "vote"!

I took valium when I had my wisdom teeth pulled.  Valium and novacaine.  I watched him pound and chisel but I just didn't care...it was a very strange experience that I'll never forget

I also had time to watch ANDY BARKER, P.I. A new receptionist character was annoying, and while the show is rather whimsical and sweet-natured, it doesn't seem to have the dynamic comic thrust to make much of an impression.

Can we make that "very annoying"?

Whipped cream is one of those culinary delights that needs no enchancement...

How can all you HHWers be peddling drugs to our poor fearless leader, when we all witnessed the power of hypnosis the other night/AM?

bk, try some of your own medicine: Look into the mirror and repeat "Go into a flotating kind of inability to focus" state... I guess like, say, maybe 5 times..or 4 (whatever works).  Do you need a watch or something -- or is it all in the eyes?

I have used them before when training dogs...

Up here we call them halters. Actaully my cousin used a halter from a colt to train one of her dogs. Worked quite well.

I'm looking for something a little more "today" among the rich crowd - I like the names Ativan and Paxil, but if they don't produce that kind of floating inability to focus state then it doesn't work.  I'll use Valium if I must but it seems so 80s to me.  And what about Prozac?

What about oxycontin...not sure if it produces that effect. That's what Rush Limbaugh and lots of other people are addicted to
