DR DakotaCelt, I've been meaning to tell you that I am also a Dr. Who fan.  Tom Baker is my favorite doctor.

Also, I was born in raised in Tampa, Florida.  I've never seen snow.

I love Tom Baker and Peter Davison...

I have Tom Baker's autograph...

Thank you all for the job vibes over the last few days!  The HHW vibes do indeed have a miraculous power.  I got a call today..and I start Friday :)  The pay is slightly less than my previous position, but the chance to work in a more stable enviornment, and make a fresh start...I'm  very excited.

Good luck DR Ann!! Knock 'em dead!

Everything is going fine, so far!  I had my Preop today and after some discussion, I will be staying one night in the hospital.

Good surgery vibes to Danise!!

Thanks all for the good wishes.

For anyone who wants details, here ya go - the job is, like my previous one, working with children.  Unlike my last workplace, this one has a set curriculum to learn, and a much more stable administration in place.  I'll get to work with all different age groups, starting with the toddlers, which are my favorites.  I'm really looking forward to it!

Hmmmm...does this mean we shouldn't say that the Russian pair won the gold medal Monday night?

Sorry, Ron, but I don't think you can have "spoilers" at the Olympics.  At least not as long as every non-NBC-affiliated radio and television station is gleefully proclaiming the winners' names eight to twelve hours in advance.

I was under the impression that American Idol qualified as a reality show, not a sports or news program.  Sorry, if my comment was considered out of line.

I did not mean to imply any such thing, TCB...

I was just wondering how far back we need to go before we stop using "Spoiler"....

Such as in, "I'm so far behind that I need folks to not give away any results for anything since the day after the Super Bowl"....

:D

On the other hand, "Idol" is watched by so many people...and so handily wins its time slot on TV...that most folks can't avoid hearing/seeing/reading what happened the night before ...in work places, schools, on the street, in restaurants, etc.

Hmmm.....DR DAKOTA CELT, I particularly enjoyed playing the lead in PRISONER OF SECOND AVENUE, the Narrator in INTO THE WOODS, and the title role in THE NERD.

Pwoject Wunway is on tonight.

Has anyone noticed these strange bits of Olympic humor?  I just watched David Pelletier give a lesson in using a handkerchief to a woman skater I didn't recognize, and then a huge teddy bear fell on them and knocked them over.

DR Elmore, remember the Rodgers & Hart lyric, "Everyone loves you when you're asleep."  I never fully understood that line until I became a parent.

Congratulations, DR Ann!

DR Danise - Will you have any dietary restrictions after your surgery?

As far as I know the only restrictions I have are before the surgery.  On Tuesday it's clear liquids all day.   :-\  :(

Try the gimlet suggested earlier, DR GINNY....it won't help, but after awhile, you won't care either.  :)

I am busy baking pies for a post-funeral luncheon. We lost an elderly member of our congregation. Our first official funeral in the new building will be tomorrow.

Back from a good rehearsal with Miss Linda Purl.  The Disney spots are approved and ready to go to audio on Friday, which will be an all-day affair.
