I missed Michael Musto's blog last Friday and it turned out I was mentioned, or at least he mentioned & linked the I'M STILL QUEER video from a few months back.  That was fun!

Nice blog entry, FJL, I wish I hadn't gone on and read the snide comments underneath it.

I am trying to catch up on all the things I've neglected due to my many medical procedures.

As for Elmore's "needless angst"--oh, I can relate to that! Let's see an end to angst!

From DAW yesterday:  "I was told that pronged rings should be checked for soundness at least once a year."

I think we should all be checked for soundness!

Personally, I'm feeling very soundful right now.  ;)

I don't even check my own prong once a year.

DR Jeanne - nice to see you here.  HHW is a fine place to convalesce.

As for pre-trip stair-climbing - we live in a 2 story house with the laundry in the basement, so we get a little stair action in the course of normal household duties.  I might do a bit more in the next couple of days, but we didn't get much warning - we'll be there Thursday.

I'm up, and I'm packaging Bananas.  I should be through and to the post office by ten-thirty - that is, at least, the hope.

DR GINNY and DH RICHARD are climbing 5 flights of stairs.  Oy!

DR JRand, I think it will only be 4 flights to get to the 5th floor.  At least that's what I keep telling myself.  Our landlady emailed to ask if we'd like her to leave a bottle of wine.  I told her that would be nice, along with some oxygen.

Yes, it's 4 flights to the 5th floor. We live on the 4th floor in a walk up and it's 3 flights to get to us. Keep thinking that as you trudge up 4 flights.

DR MBARNUM - Barbara Bostock's boyfriend named Dog was played by James Komack who was in the Broadway and film versions of DAMN YANKEES and he is also a television writer and producer.  He produced Bill Bixby's show THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER

I was actually referring to the hunky 6 ft 3 guy she was fooling around with in order to make Dog jealous.  Even at my most desperate, I could never think if James Komak as "dreamy."

Tell her to leave the bottle on the lobby table.  You will need it for the climb.

The wine or the oxygen?

Both!  Of course, if you drink the whole bottle of wine, you won't care about the oxygen.

Good Afternoon!

So far, so good!

A good haircut. A nice walk on The Highline. A nice stroll through Chelsea Market - there are a couple of new stores, including a Jacques Torres' Chocolate "kiosk". I was talking with Tina, who's from their main office, and as I was leaving she asked if I would like a free cookie - their "warmer" was in overdrive, so it over-warmed (melted) some of them, so... YUM!  I also checked out the new butcher shop, Dickson's Farmland Meats.  Quite a nice selection, and the cuts of meat are butchered and prepped right in the shop, right in front of your eyes (should you wish to observe).
