DR TCB - although you didn't take me with you, I feel as if I am there with you thanks to your wonderful "Postcards" posts.  :)

td, I would love to have had you along on this trip.  Of course, my cabin only has one bed!

Well, as long as there are two towels in the bathroom, that's all that matters.

I believe I'm up.  I awoke about an hour ago, but refused to get out of bed until now.  Refused, I tell you.

I really should not send email's at all when I'm upset, but I always forget that I'm upset and send it anyway.

I sent a : these are the facts email to the manager of the apt., bldg., at 4AM yesterday morning about my new neighbors.   I only stated facts, she responded in defense of herself and forwarded the email to her boss.

These days you have to be so careful with every word and how it's taken by the other reader. All I know is that yesterday afternoon, the neighbors yelled F------ B---- for about 5 minutes.  Wonder if they got an email from the manager or the management company.

Will I ever learn, not.

But, I did get a good nights sleep, without being forced awake at 3AM.

Have a cheerful day everyone.

Must shut the computer down and hook up the new cable modem.

I do try to be careful in my wording on this here site, to try to remember I'm almost 60 and not a hot headed space cadet, which takes a lot of effort on my part and does not always work.

That is what we need - A HHW Cruise.  Perhaps the Mexican Riviera or maybe the Caribbean?

E-mails -

It used to drive me crazy - I know, not a long journey - at work when I would send a list of issues or questions - numbered, lettered, or bulleted - and the recipient would respond only to the first point and ignore all the others.

Grrrrrrrr!

I am constantly baffled by Constant Contact and the Kritzerland eBlasts.  We have just under 2000 names on the blast list - all these are people who've purchased from Kritzerland before.  We send out a blast.  And over 1000 of our 2000 people never even open it.  We're always at about 51% opens.  These aren't going to people's spam folders (we can see when that happens), and a few don't arrive because of "full" mailboxes and such - but the fact that people get a new release announcement (and I purposely keep the title out of the headline) and don't even open it is so weird to me.  How do they even know if they want it or not, and since all these folks have bought something from us, you'd think they'd at least want to see what the title is.  Go know.

Of course, I think he meant a different kind of spelling.

Great adventure, DR TCB! You sound like you're feeling better.

I got a lovely email from the composer of the musical I decided to turn down last week. I am officially off the project, feeling both happy and unhappy about giving it up.  Perhaps the fates have something better down the pike (fingers crossed!).

DAW - Please please please don't take this the wrong way, but at work when people receive without warning a list of issues or questions - as you say, numbered, lettered, or bulleted - they tend to see it as extra work that the person is trying to deposit into their workload.  They feel a need to respond quickly to show they are not ignoring the email, especially if a higher-up is cc'd on it, and feel the ball has been passed back into the other person's court.

I had no idea you and DAW worked at the same place.   ;D :o

The solution is to send separate emails on each subject, unless the subjects are so joined at the hip as to be inseparable.

Sneaky, huh?
