What I'm wondering now is if "S. Lawrence" is "S. Lawrence," if you know what I mean.  He was writing some material then, notably that kind of catchy (and similar) tune Steve and Eydie did with the Osmonds called "We Can Make it Together."

I can tell you that Lawrence and Hart both worked on music for "Sesame Street."  Hart died in 2006 from cancer.  He was born in 1938 and Lawrence was born in 1939.

Couldn't find a professional listing of their actual songs together in one place, but here is a link to Google that has a number of different songs/jobs they did together.


Bobby Hart was born "Harshman" in Phoenix AZ.  Hart is a professional name for him.

Bruce Hart was born "Hart" in New York.

I also found a smattering of other tunes they did in various internet searches.  Love One Way Ticket--nice alternation between iii and bIIImajor, one of my favorite compositional tropes (along with the similar vi/bVImaj).  In fact bVImajor pops up in One Way Ticket, too, but you all already knew that.  :)

Well... Two weeks from today will be - is? - my birthday.  -And DR JRand's birthday too.

My youngest brother, Jay, just made plans to come back East for a couple of days since he was able to clear the days off from work.  His girlfriend - soon-to-be-fiancée(??) - will also be making the trip, and her birthday falls on the 22nd.  So, Jay was hoping to have some sort of joint birthday celebration with the whole family. -This will actually be the first time that all four Simbulan boys will have been together since the Christmas of 1997.  -That's also the last time that Jay has seen his niece, Emily.  So...

I hadn't made any real plans for how I wanted to spend my birthday this year, but I was thinking of just doing something like I did last year - just walking around the city and meeting up with friends during the course of my travels.  But I'd also like to head down to VA to spend time with my family.  So...

Planning, planning.

Ah, Crown International! My favorite of their releases is the June Kenney / Robert Reed film BLOODLUST!

If it weren't for the kindness of Crown Int. this film would likely still be sitting on a shelf, unreleased and gathering dust.

Finally listening to APARTMENT/FORTUNE COOKIE.  My CD player is having some probs with FORTUNE COOKIE, but I will not be doing a chargeback as I'm pretty certain it's the player.  ;D I had forgotten SECOND CHANCE comes from FORTUNE COOKIE--I've done that song for years with various singers.

DR Jose, thank you, but until the cheap asses at the Library of Congress pay our outstanding invoices, I'm flat broke until nnext week when PHI pays me for my little bit of work on OH BOY!  I have about $10 to last me until next Wednesday or Thursday. Oy! I just sent my brothers an email asking what was going on about selling the Ohio property, and I am already sure the answer is Nothing. It burns my ass I just had to shell out $248 to pay taxes on that albatross.

Usually when I get huge spikes like this it's because either it's aired or the A&E Bio has.

In other exciting news, I have received a top secret express mail package which contains a piece of high tech equipment which will play into my new writing job.  All I can say at this point is that it is much smaller than expected.
