What is it about Facebook that turns smart people into utter dolts?  There's one very smart, very talented gal, daughter of a famous star, who relentlessly shares the fakest crap memes of anyone I know.  She is called on it repeatedly, by me, by others.  She never responds, never takes down the BS and then a day later she will do it again - literally share anything that she comes across, the latest being about a carjacking scheme that's been debunked as far back as 2004!  It reappears every few years, and has been constantly reappearing for the past two.  It takes three seconds to Google and find Snopes and Fact Check but they never do that EVER.  They just post it and never reply to anyone about that it's fake.  I just don't get it.  Does anyone get it?  I link to Snopes and Fact Check and I should think any reasonably reasonable person would then be embarrassed to have posted it and take it down.  But not this gal. 

I find it mind boggling, and frightening at times.

I, too, watched ENOLA HOLMES yesterday. I enjoyed it. The book is the first in a series. I'd like to see more films from it. I especially liked Helena Bonham Carter as the mother.

DR ChasSmith, I saw my neighbor Mark who was off to redeem his unemployment debit card! I don't understand this at all.  Direct deposit I understand.

These were put into place for recipients who do not have a bank account.  These were done for unemployment and welfare checks.  Before they started doing that, those without bank accounts had to pay a large part of their check to a protective payee.

After work, I went to my sister's to visit with my cousins who were visiting with my sister and her daughter at their house.

Then I went shopping for some nice paper.

My sister and I found a template for a funeral program, we wrote our dad's bio and our mom really liked it, so I was going to print it at Kinko's, but this particular template only allows one picture in one place, so we had to make some adjustments and I was able to find a font that had the Byzantine three-bar cross that my sister wanted (our dad went to a Byzantine Catholic church) but the font had to be installed in the computer that printed it, and I'm assuming that Kinko's won't allow the installation of random fonts, so I bought the fancy paper and when I got home, I installed the font onto my Windows 10 computer and finally unpacked and set up my new Epson Ecotank printer and now am printing the program.

I have a feeling this is going to be an ordeal.

I've been notified of deliveries that were non-existent, but they usually find their way to my door somehow. The other day the delivery person apparently couldn't distinguish between an A and a G. We've learned where the packages often are and check there.

Recently, one of the delivery drivers delivered my package (#167) to the people in #267.  The driver had to walk past my unit, with the number next to the door, in order to reach the staircase to go up to #267!

A restaurant manager friend told me that her former crew all get there unemployment "on a card." I imagine it's the same thing.

I don't know.  A couple of years ago, I'd heard that some people who are either getting paid or getting some kind of unemployment benefits on a card, but these particular cards have fees attached! If you want to withdraw cash, there was a fee.  If you want to pay for gas at the pump, there was a fee!  I don't remember if they were able to get the whole thing changed so that they don't have to pay the damn fees just because in this particular situation, they were given these cards (it was NOT their choice) that had fees.

I went to Lowry’s for dinner one night, back in the 80’s.  Alaska Airlines was expanding their service to L.A., and they took a group of us travel agents down to L.A. for the weekend.  They flew us down put us up on the Queen Mary, and took us to a number of Southern California sites like Movieland Wax Museum (I loved that place) and took us to Knott’s Berry Farm before it opened for the day.
