My question for ASK BK Day:

What is the first neighborhood or building you recognized in a movie....someplace you had been or seen.

That's an interesting question, and I'm not sure of the answer.  I have the feeling it was a Fox movie, because location shots were always done in Westwood and environs.  Or maybe it was a film in which Ocean Park Pier appeared.

I wonder where ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE premiered at ? And I wonder if June Kenney was in the audience?

Oh, and I'm up.  Very fitful night of sleep and now I'm way too groggy.

However, very blue skies out and the wind, while there, seems to have calmed down a little.

...scratch Brutus -- Wimpy it is -- they're desperate for food and water, so it'd be easy to work in his line "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today"  line ... you may be on to something Dan the Man!

I have completed watching season 1 of "Lost", which I started watching Sunday.

Incredibly riveting and suspenseful.

Not a complaint, but it's quite funny that we know no more now about the nature of the island than we did at the end of the first season.

What I had forgotten was my take on the young boy Walt and his abilities -- I believe his imagination manifested the polar bears in Season 1.

I love this show.  And I'm fascinated by the producers' intent to tell the complete story and then end the series.  I think I read somewhere they expect it to take five seasons.  We're in season three right now.

I think they missed the boat (pun on my mother's line of thought) on doing a Popeye/Julius Caesar crossover sort of thing.

"Et tu, Brute?" indeed....

Heather and her family are huge LOST fans...and I promised them at some point I'd watch the entire series and try to get caught up.

Hello AnimalMagnetism and WELCOME fellow Sagittarian (there are quite a few of us here including our host).

What part of England are you from?  My mother was from the Manchester area & I still have loads of relatives over there.  When I have more time to post we shall have to discuss English sweets, such as my favorite marzipan.

Hi there.  I'm original from the Midlands (near Birmingham) but now reside in Bristol.  Being English, I have been partying like there's no tomorrow ever since the weekend in celebration of Sir Elton John's 60th birthday.

BK asked how I found the site... I navigated here from kritzerland.com - and I navigated there from another board, where he knows me as Southall.

I look forward to participating here once I get the lie of the land.  It is probably an opportune moment to announce that I like cows - and frequently enjoy cow-based produce.

Question for DR Jose:

Who is orchestrating/arranging ALL ABOUT US?

Bill Brohn is "sweetening" Michael Gibson's original charts.

There were actual "life rafts", as opposed to inflatable "life boats" - but not on the Titanic. They were large rectangles of kapok with canvas mesh bottoms. (The kapok kept the raft afloat so you needn't worry about water getting inside.) People could get in side, and also cling to straps mounted to the kapok perimeter. The rafts had oars strapped to the side and an emergency pack of water, some food, and flares.

der Brucer

weren't the oars uncomfortable riding like that?

How shall I spend my last few posts?  Discussing relevant social issues or just making frivolous, silly statements?!
