The last books I read (I read several at a time) were:
ALMOST A GENTLEMAN, an autobiography by playwright John Osborne, which I liked immensely.
AT THE ROYAL COURT, a look at the first 25 years of the English Stage Company and their work by many of the participants...playwrights, directors, actors, others...very good, with lots of great photos...
BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE, a play by Martin McDonagh, not as good a play as his PILLOWMAN, but well worth the read, with the usual dark funny touches he's known for.
EXIT PURSUED BY A BADGER by Nick Asbury, which is the compiled blog of an actor during the RSC mammoth undertaking of staging all the histories of Richard II, Henry IV, parts one & two, Henry V, all three parts of Henry VI, and ending with Richard III. This I'm currently reading and so far, so good.
