Yes, we are home.

We were busy before the ceremony and then we were going away after (it was kind of a honeymoon since we were in the motel by ourselves when we weren't with family) that I decided to wait until we got back to make the announcement.

They don't know at my office either. I'm making the "reveal" tomorrow.

DR Jennifer - my friend was going fast downhill and tried to swerve to avoid a group of people.  No other bikes or vehicles were involved.  As for me riding, it's just not advisable, given how easily I bruise and how life-threatening internal bleeding would be.  Also, anything I can do to avoid having to have any kind of surgery is prudent.  Bike-riding just isn't worth the risk.

I don't consider bike riding risky at all. But if you don't feel safe then it's better to just use an exercise bike. This might be a dumb question but why would your friend drive a bike fast down a hill? That sounds incredibly dangerous. I hope that she will be okay.

Amy should be released from the hospital soon.  Apparently her broken jaw will not require surgery, nor will her knee.  She and her husband are teachers, so at least they have the summer off...

That's good news. And that is great that she can recuperate. Is school over where they are already? HEre school ends on June 22nd.

That bike that DR George posted looks awesome. But there are actually regular bikes that are simliar to that. But have 3 wheels. They are for adults who might not have great balance. But you still get to ride around. And they are very difficult to fall off of. My aunt has one of those.

Just before we went away something happened.

And this is it. Click on the picture to enlarge it.

Oh my God!  How wonderful.  Congratulations to both of you.

In reference to absolutely nothing, here's a picture that I randomly came across, called "Fixing signal":

Bert I Gordon (with Flora Gordon) special effects were much nicer in B/W than in color.

And now I am off to block Act Two Scene One of THE CURIOUS SAVAGE and trade my four Saturday night tickets for CLUE THE MUSICAL for 2 tickets for Opening Night this Thursday.

I am also very frustrated over this blasted plumber situation. I did get a lot accomplished today, but I don't plan to sit home every day this week waiting for this joker.

No, I'll just take a bath tonight and let him bitch about the water pouring everywhere. The problem isn't his; it's the damned plumber setting a date and making sure the lady below me is in.  I thought it was set for today.
