Wednesday morning greetings!  A puttering day for me - I'm thinking about reorganizing my desk area.  At some point, I'll have to do some grocery shopping and cook a nice dinner for my family.

Here's an obituary for my friend Larry French who died last week:

BK, keep a watch out for my friend and interviewee Diana Darrin in the two sci-fi Stooges short subjects. My interviewee Bek Nelson is in one of those as well.

My new Stooges set is coming via Amazon.com and I can't wait. It has been 30 some years since I have seen the Besser shorts, and many of my favorite actresses guest star!

Hmm...I wonder why Allison Hayes, who worked so often at Columbia Studios, never did a Stooge short subject?

And speaking of Allison Hayes, DR JRand might be interested to know that Allison's DISEMBODIED co-star Eugenia Paul passed away last week at age 75.

I had been searching for her for a couple of years. Little did I know she was now Eugenia Strauss of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Eugenia was quite handy with a knife in THE DISEMBODIED, DR MBARNUM....thanks for the update, sad as it was.

I don't like Joe Besser.....probably because I hated his character on ABBOTT & COSTELLO......I couldn't understand a grown man dressed like a little boy licking on a BIG lollipop and being obnoxious.....

Penny will be here in a few minutes.  I'm not sure how long she will stay, at least long enough to play with Sherlock which I'm sure is the real reason she is visiting ;)

Jane will HATE that photograph.

At first I thought you meant the guy hanging upside down, which should have bothered my dislike of people up high-lol.  The "mermaids" only bothered me by the fact I found the photo rather unattractive. ;D

As for all our wonderful anniversary wishes, thank you:

Ann, I'm sure you and Jed will catch up to us. :)

Cute card DR MBarnum.

Sam, we had a very nice evening.  For dessert I had a piece of rich chocolate cakes, like a lave cake or the lava part was poured over the top.  It was exceptionally moist & delicious.  I'm glad I had the ice cream in a separate bowl, I shivered at my small taste of salty caramel ice cream.

Laura, no popcorn after a big dinner & the treats.   I could barely sleep as it was.

Thanks Cilla.   Does your head fill better today?

Thank you JRand& Ginny.

Vixladies, I like your Crimson Red & the Foxgloves are pretty. Thanks for the sparkly card.  Instead of champagne Keith had a martini & I had an Oban (good scotch)

JMK, thanks & LOL

I think it's in the air.  I've been feeling quite blah lately, too.  I'm trying to remedy that to a daily trip to the gym, even if it's just for 30 minutes.  I started yesterday and already it seems to be working.  "Self" time is important, and that doesn't always mean hanging around at home chilling on the couch with your housemates/partner/etc... sometimes just you and no one else.

Matthew, I suggest that you spend some of your "self time" this way: Take your camera into your new backyard and take more photos for us to enjoy.

Good Morning! Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And I had a pretty good night's sleep, a full eight hours. Alas, since I didn't fall asleep until sometime around 3:30... But I'm up.

*I did wake up briefly at 6:40 - at least that's what my clock radio said - and had contemplated getting out of bed and heading down for the opening of the Union Square Greenmarket. But after laughing out loud at the concept/prospect, I closed my eyes and... And the next thing I knew, it was 11:30.

DR ANN - your Candide experience with fellow audience members was so typical and annoying.....but seeing the show.....well....wow! I love that show! Have only seen it onstage once.....and I will never forget it.....in a good way.

SOUTH PACIFIC on PBS?  Hurray!  Bring it on!

Now if only the Met production of DOCTOR ATOMIC would get released on DVD.
