My back was spasming yesterday, so I stayed home. I planned on hiking today since it is better, but we are receiving some blessed rain. So I guess I will skip today too.

Slept in a bit, again, but more due to a middle of the night allergy attack than anything. I popped a Benadryl at 3:30 a.m. which took care of things, but it also keeps me drowsy so I get extra sleep. I do not complain.

Yesterday at the supermarket, on a whim, I picked up a couple of breakfast burritos. You should never go food shopping when you're hungry, right? And they'll probably be awful. But what's done is done, and I'll be having one soon with a sorely needed second cup of coffee.

Thursday morning greetings! I'm getting ready to visit 2 local yarn shops as part of the 2016 I-75 Yarn Crawl, so will be away until late afternoon. Not participating with as much gusto as some knitters, but at least I'll be eligible to compete for the "Short on Time" Prize (visiting 3 shops).

Speaking of competing, we're dropping in throughout the day on NBC online to see Kayla Harrison defend her 2012 gold medal in judo. She's originally from Middletown and she has a pretty big fan base here.
