Seen it I have! What did you think of it TD?

To be perfectly frank (not Loesser, though), I thought it was one of the best films of 2007.  In any language.

As a matter of fact, since I didn't mail it back to Netflix yet, I may just have to watch it again.

DR td - Did "Kevin Johnson" need a "SPOILER WARNING"? ;)

I don't think so, but, I'll modify.

I won't be doing any skimming of AS THE WORLD TURNS today or tomorrow. The ACC Basketball Tournament has taken over the airwaves for four days here. I'm assuming that the local CBS affiliate will record the two episodes and play them at some time this weekend. I'll do a search on the DVR to see when they're slated to show. It should pick them up since I have the show on a Season Pass.
Does ATWT show on the SoapNet?  And do you have access?

Isn't that a Lerner and Loewe piece?
Soon to be back on the boards, in a revisacle with a updated book by John Guare.

I'm not a Brigadoon fan, but this news is very saddening.

The only CBS soap carried on SoapNet is "The Young & The Restless".

Years ago, I was fotunate to buy the hardcover editions of HOLLYWOOD BABYLON AND HB 2.  Over the years, friends borrowed both volumes and eventually they were lost, or at least, never returned.  So, I was very excited a few years ago, when Border's Books in Tacoma announced that Kenneth Anger would be signing copies of his books.  I thought this would be a great chance to replace the copies I had lost.  Unfortunately, when I arrived for the signing I found Mr. Anger signing only a small stack of the paperback editions.  I bought them both , and he signed them; but it just wasn't the same as having the large  hardbound editions.
Better small than sorry.   :-\

DR MBARNUM re: BIG BROTHER

I'm still watching.

For once, i actually agree with you. I think my favorite right now is Natalie.  They keep editing her as dumb. And she does have a thing for matt. But she has a good energy and doesn't seem as malicious as most.

I want her to win HOH (well i already who won, but i won't spoil it).

I don't know how I feel about this BRIGADOON situation, but why do people who object to revising musicals with the consent of the writers' estates seem to have no problem with revising Shakespeare and Moliere and such?

I know, too....and I HATE the deal that was struck.  I think Natalie IS malicious...and not a little bit looney tunes.  I don't think she is as ugly/evilene as Sheila, who also is playing one HELL of a game...but they all make me sick to my stomach in one way or another.

It's very troublesome for me this season:  I don't like any of them, but I still get  worked up when someone "plays" someone else and then gets nasty about.  Matt is the major ugly boy in the house.  I would love to see him go.

And I am so delighted that Alex did not get back into the house.  It was worth the scam on the fans (i.e. telling us we'd make a difference and then finding that our "chosen" player might not get back into the house after all).  If they'd known it was Alex, James would not have had a chance.

The fish in the fish and chips came out better than they have before.  I changed my batter recipe - it's now one cup wheat flour, one cup corn starch, one tablespoon baking powder, one bottle beer, some salt and whatever other seasonings seem appropriate.  Nice and crunchy.

But der B still wasn't happy with how the oil hadn't really drained from the fish.  I need to work on that.

And the chips were limp.   :-\
