My favorite orchestration for The Brain remains the title song - it makes me smile every time I hear it - it's perfection.

It's that organ, isn't it?  The whole recording makes me smile and fills me with such joy.  I so happy that I caught the right mood from several thousand miles away from rehearsal.

I don't have a favorite number, because I loved the score so much.  Outside of possibly expanding the band for another production, I'm really happy with my work; I could do some tweaking here and there, but Im not fretting over this wonderful show as I do on some things I've done.

DR edisaurus - So, if I *will* be your gift, does that mean you plan to unwrap me?  Should I wear a big red bow around my head?

Elmore-You must be relieved all your packages arrived safely.  Good news!

I'm really happy they arrived today.  Tomorrow I have to leave the apartment and end my self-indulgent intemezzo.  I really loved having three days to myself to reflect, mourn, putter, and work.  It was very therapeutic.

DRs Jennifer and George - Got your addresses.  I shall try my best to have something in the mail to you by this weekend, but I have a feeling I probably won't send anything out until next Monday.  But I will send something out.  :)

From last night, sort of...

RE: All the riffing during the Dreamgirls medley - and everywhere else.  I say blame Rossini and Bellini.  And Estelle Liebling.  Oh, and I guess Bach and Vivaldi too.  When it comes down to it, it's all ornamentation.  Just down an octave or two from where it usually is sung.

DR FJL - Do you have any particular date you'd like to see Legally Blonde?  I'd be more than happy to put in a house seat request for you via the Assistant MD/Conductor (another Lestat alum/survivor/victim).  I also know a bunch of people in the cast, so if your regular avenues seem to be coming up as dead ends...

Not as convenient as Quaker Instant! Nuke some water, zip open the packet, add, stir, wait three minutes and enjoy! (I always add butter and brown sugar.)

der Brucer

Well, it's convenient for me.  Basically, I just bring the water to boil, dump in the oats, then let it sit until morning.  Then just portion out what I want to eat, nuke it for a bit, and Voila!  Yummy oatmeal.  -I prefer mine with some wild blueberries (frozen) and a dash of cinnamon.  And, as I mentioned before, I make enough for four days worth of breakfasts.

Additionally,  they're less processed, have more fiber and nutrients intact, and no chemically-engineered flavorings.

Now that's truly convenient!

I just read this on Playbill.com:  Actor Evan Pappas Recovering from Car Crash in Phoenix!

Evan played Harry Witherspoon in the BK produced original studio recording of Lucky $tiff.  He was also in Parade and played Benji Stone in the musical version of My Favorite Year.

Well, that would make it easier for me to find you when I pick you up from your hotel!

Dinner Wed. PM...do you have a preferred time when I should make a reservation?

I just read that too.  Such an unfortunate turn of events for Evan Pappas - who happens to truly be one of the nicest guys in the "biz".  I've played a couple of auditions for him, and he's always been very generous and complimentary to me.  I wish him a speedy recovery.

Let's say 7:30 just to be safe. And I could pick you up at your hotel @7:00. The place is close but it may take us a few minutes to find a place to park.

Jane, it was church property and one of those animal service clubs-- moose, lion, you know the kind. They border our land. They have a small rv area, and he is a short-term resident in one of the trailers. We were on church property; he was outside his trailer when our conference took place. The service club was cooperating with us in our efforts and wanted the animals fixed.

DR Cillaliz - Will this be your last chance to tell your boss in person?  Just wondrin'.

Well it may be moot for now. That was why I was thinking about doing it now. I wanted to tell him in person. But with the weather getting ready to get ugly again, I'm not sure he's coming after all.  That means it will be at least another month before I see him in person. I hate to tell him on the phone, but I may have to do that.
