I spent the first part of the evening watching the newly remastered version of PETER PAN. Its look is quite a bit different from the last version released in 2002. Colors have been tweaked, most for the better but occasionally I think they missed the mark. The lines in the animation are much more solid and dynamic making for a bolder, brighter picture. And like SNOW WHITE and BAMBI, the picture has been scrubbed to remove most of the grain in the picture. Some don't like that newly polished look. It doesn't bother me at all.
And the new Dolby DIgital 5.1 enhanced theater mix is much fuller than the one on the 2002 disc. There's actually some bass in the mix now and with more use of the surrounds, mostly for music , but still, it does have a much fuller sound.
