It's much too late for me to still be up when I still have this cold, so I'm going to bed now.  With no rehearsal tonight, I plan to stay home and watch TV and do nothing else.

Good night, all!

I am thinking that they have pills for eructation now....or at least eructation dysfunction.

This Is Your Life....whew!

A couple of them I remember watching when I was little....Jayne Mansfield and Debbie Reynolds.....

And of course the infamous Frances Farmer - This Is Your Life....whew!

"Were you ever an alcoholic?"
"No."
"Did you ever take dope?"
"No...never."

"...why did your marriage to Leif Ericson fail?"
"Well....we had different goals...it was a difficult emotional decision...but we decided to get divorced.  And we've been divorced ever since [sic]."

"How were you treated in the hospital, Frances?"
"Well, I used to stand in line with 15 or 20 other girls...we were given shots, hydrotherapy baths, or electric shock treatments which were supposed to keep us quiet - which it did....I just really don't think it helped me much!"

My question for ASK BK DAY - who do you think most represents the Masculine and Feminine Ideal for the movie decades of the 40's, 50's, and 60's.

I would start by saying:

1940's - Tyrone Power & Rita Hayworth
1950's - Marlon Brando & Audrey Hepburn
1960's - Paul Newman & Carroll Baker

Good morning, all!  Another day with The Brain.  I feel like Marilyn Monroe and the overrated Arthur Miller.

According to Playbill On-Line it was 50 years ago today that one of BKs favorite shows opened on Broadway:

1956 Dogpatch comes to life as Li'l Abner is staged at the St. James Theatre. Melvin Frank and Norman Panama adapted the Al Capp comic-strip, with songs by Johnny Mercer and Gene dePaul. The cast includes Tina Louise and Stubby Kaye dancing to Michael Kidd choreography.

He/She is adorable. I guess it's a kennel of some kind. I couldn't tell from the video, just from the sounds of other dogs barking.

My ask BK Questions:

!) How do we book tickets for the December 9th evening performance of The Brain From Planet X?

2) I saw the episode of Alice that you did (The Sixty Minute Man) online the other day. Do you get any kind of residuals for airing via the internet?
(I am sure back then who would have thought reruns who be seen there or have a life on DVD)

I booked our BRAIN FROM PLANET X reservations by calling 323-664-2787, which is, I believe, the LACC box office.

Don't forget the time difference when calling there, of course, if you want to get a live human being rather than their machine.

And the word of the day is: ERUCTATION!
Casey would waltz
With a strawberry blonde...
They chose to ignore the persistant ERUCTATIONS
Coming from the tuba player in the band.

Prince Humperdinck (the EROTICA NUT) was given to occasional bouts of ERUCTATION, which dismayed his friend Count Rugen.  The poor, IRATE COUNT grew NEUROTIC AT the sight of the Prince decanting OUT CERTAIN brews, which he knew would lead to his sire's belching once again.

Re: last night's DANCING WITH THE STARS.

I'm gonna see if i can find that predictor site now.

I do think that emmitt works really hard. His work ethic is one of my favorite things about him.  It just seems to me that they were giving away 10s last night.  I wonder if his moves were much simpler than mario's (they looked that way to me).

OKAY here is the predictor site. I suppose people can still vote today (internet voting).  But if you want to know who is going to win, read below):

I'd better get ready for work.  A phone call from one of the managers woke me up - she asked me to come in early.  It's making for a very long work week.

Question for DR FJL and his dear Skip... (this is actually a question  the Vixter asked last night)

How did you go about getting permission to create a musical based on the the movie The Last Starfighter?

Did you have to show the powers that be your script and the songs?
