Catherine Deneuve still looks great!  She introduced something that I missed.

At least, I think it was Catherine Deneuve. :-\

Yes, it was Catherine.  And "Brokeback Mountain" just won best song, "A Love That Will Never Grow Old," sung by Emilou Harris.

I have seen the trailers online and it looks fabulous... Just got some DVDs a freind was getting rid of. I watched In America over the weekend. It was pretty good.

I'm glad they're defending the show!

I must say, after two listens, I think Memoirs of a Geisha a really mediocre score, and Mr. Williams has no bigger fan than I.  I also didn't think much of his score for Munich, but did enjoy his score for War of the Worlds.

I think I shall take a nice long hot shower and wash away the thought of Variety, whilst lathering myself with the other two reviews.  My goodness, that was profound.  Or not.

But which actors are winning in the film category?

I'm going to shower and lather now - hope the actor info will be here upon my return.

The big question is, will we top last year's record number of posts when the Oscars are shown this year - we had around 940 posts last year.  Anyone for 1000?

Certainly the two reviews I posted loved Matt - have no idea what Variety thought of the actors, and don't really care.

Good Evening!  Good Morning!

Well... Since it took me almost a good 45 minutes to get home from Columbus Circle on the subway... -All that "dreaded" track work... Well... I'm a bit tired, and I do need to get up sort of early - well, early for me - tomorrow/today....

Yes, I'm rambling, so...

One lady at the Connotator was having quite the time with Google tonight. She found this, at theatermania.com/LA

"Big-name players take to the stage this month, including Billy Crystal in 700 Sundays, Lynn Redgrave in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Matthew Ashford in Deceit"

A few of us got a little chuckle out of Matt being listed with Billy and Lynn as a 'big name player'.

But umm, don't tell Matt we thought it was funny. We're suppose to be his fans ya know.  haha
