Well, you've read the notes, the notes were next to normal, and now it is time for you to post until the next to normal cows come home.

I see that New York, New York is out on Blu Ray on Tuesday at 155minutes that means that complete Happy Endings production number with Larry Kert is out. I say it in NYC many moons ago at 163minutes included Happy Endings and other material as well

Good morning, all! I've got the laundry in the washers and Bach Cantata No. 147 Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben playing on iTunes.

Last night I watched the first two episodes of THE DUCHESS OF DUKE STREET with the wonderful Gemma Jones. I'm always amazed by the hypocrisy of the Victorian mind, and I found the politics of getting her respectably married so that Prince Albert could take her as a mistress, thus providing her with an entry to "polite" society as a chef, most amazing. While I have no doubt the casting couch is still in existence, I'm always surprised to see how calculating it can often be, and in this series, the calculations involved everyone from the Prince's aide de camp to the housekeeper and the proposed husband for the chef.

Today, I will finish the laundry and continue with the EILEEN proofs. I have a couple of Appalachian Christmas" calls to make later in the morning, and that's my day.

Yes, I finished Murder At The Masquers on my way to see Charlotte's show on Friday night. I enjoyed it very much. I was really happy to see the return of Patrick Bornstein who kicks ass in every appearance with sarcasm - the scene with the waitress and an order of personality is fantastic! - and generosity. He puts a big smile on my face. I think the detectives need a bigger role in the next one. While I think Furball might appeal to younger readers, I find the cat in the first chapter a rather urealistic animal, much like Figaro the cat in Disney's PINOCCHIO.

I spent a lot of yesterday cleaning out my computer, trashing things, and backing it up onto a Hard Drive. I hadn't done a backup in several months, and I really don't need to keep all the BABES IN TOYLAND/LADY OF THE SLIPPER files ready to hand until the project revs up or dies. Hopefully, this will let it run a bit smoother and quicker.

I am speaking today at Ernie's Memorial Celebration which will be held in the theatre itself.......no viewing, no passing the bier, no sad songs.....

I think I can do it.....my short talk is built around our most famous roles.....Oscar & Felix.....and the little note that was left on the pillow:

Oscar - We're all out of corn flakes.  F. U.

Look, she was negative 5 when she was born, do you have a problem with that? Department:

From today's Oregonian:

Happy 100th Birthday Olive Louise!  Olive Sater Norris celebrated her 100th birthday May 6, 2011.  She was feted with cake and flowers at a party given by family and friends at her residence in Vancouver.  She was born in 1906 in Madison, S.D.

DR TCB - do you mean the shiny coat with the fur collar that Barbara wore when she confessed her infidelity to her husband, or the cloth coat that she wore in the lifeboat?

I can only find one hat in the auction from TITANIC.....it's the feathered hat that Barbara wears in her first scene  on the tender going out to the ship.  There are no other items from the movie, although the index lists pages 303, 304, under its title, those pages are full of silent movie posters.  :-\

~~~~~SAFE AND DRY VIBES TO DR CILLALIZ AND HER FELLOW CITIZENS OF SIOUX CITY~~~~~
Thanks DR Jose.   Today the water starts really arriving.  Still not a max until about the 14th. People are scrambling like crazy.  The new YMCA along the river is evacuating everything.  It's fascinating to me that all our efforts to fight the flood aren't news to anyone, even the Des Moines Register.  I guess people banning together and fighting for a common good isn't news.
There was definitely more than just the hat in the catalog, JR, but I have recycled my copy.
Ok, time to do laundry, dishes and pick up around the house.  I'm sore and don't need to be in anyone's way today.   There are a couple outlooks you can climb to on the bluffs to see the river and what's happening.  I'll probably stick to that today.  It's going to be in the 90s and humid.
The index goes to 500 pages, and the online catalog only goes up to page 308.
BK,
Neither RIO LOBO nor BIG JAKE are among Wayne's better films, though BIG JAKE is by far the better of the two.
My former client, Christopher Mitchum, is in both...and my other former client, the late George Sherman, directed BIG JAKE.
Incidentally, the dog in BIG JAKE is Lassie.
