Clarence drives me crazy and Deb only comes when she wants to and has decided the call time is way too early for her because she only has a small part.....my guess is - like the other shows she was in - she will decide some performance night that she just can't make it.

THey look like a couple of trouble makers.  And I see that Deb decided to go without the wig.

I liked MATINEE until the ending as well.....not needed, but I guess I was less annoyed by the personal story that was taking place.

It also has one of my favorite EVER movie moments.....when the community thinks that the Russians will be over the town at any moment and there is chaos in the grocery store.....one man pleads for shredded wheat, and when the manager says there isn't any....

MAN:  Don't you have any more in the back??!!!!!!

MANAGER:  No I don't have any more in the back.  You're just going to have to face the threat of Atomic Destruction without any goddamn shredded wheat!

Hmmm...now that I've looked RED PLANET MARS up in IMDB, it sounds familiar.  In any case, I'd like to see that one, too.

It won't be long now before all movies ever made will be stored in the Cloud and we can watch them anytime we want, any where we want.

Just catching up on yesterday's posts.

Poor DR Jane. Vibes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DR Ginny, wow lucky about your tv. I bet a big company like Target will just send the giftcard no hassles.

DR Jose, i'm enjoying reading about your adventures.

DR Vixmom, you are making me hungry. The Vixter's party sounds like it will be great.

I stumbled across this yesterday, which might be of interest to some of you:

http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Pop-Instrumental-Hits-Sixties/dp/B004VWXULE

The fact that it will take them a decade to finish the series makes it perhaps less desirable for some.  :)

Thanks for posting this JMK...just added it to my "wish list"

Last night I watched THE LAST GUNFIGHT starring Mr Toshiro Mifune....sent to me by DR MBARNUM.....a most excellent Japanese crime/copper drama!

And the color was excellent!  Nice to see Mr Mifune in color!

I really think that THEM! is the best of the bunch.

It has an excellent script, good performances and holds up quite well.

Yes, if you remade it today, you'd have better CGI ants, but what else would you want to change?

Very little, I think.

I interviewed Gordon Douglas years ago, and he was more proud of this than any film he'd ever directed.

I don't know, DR Dan(the Man).  Maybe not in our lifetimes. There are still movies i've been waiting to see on DVD and they may never show up till I'm a bad memory.

So The Daily Show makes fun of Anthony Weiner by talking about how well-built and buff the Congressman is?

That'll teach him.  :)

I guess it depends on the reason--films that have not been released on DVD due to lack of demand vs cost of manufactoring could make it.  But I guess there will be those that will be forever lost in rights and contract percentage limbo.

Ya know, I think many would just like to have this Weiner thing behind us.  But then there are those who want to examine every inch of it.

Well, it's not like Birgitte Nielsen didn't try to steal some of the spotlight and recapture some of the notoriety she gained back when she chewed men up and spit them out.  To piggyback on the Schwarzenegger scandals is pretty typical for her "sort".

And now for a completely different train of thought (on the same subject):

We've seen London
We've seen France
We've seen Daniel('s) Weiner
In his underpants!
