Really about you BK. Congrts someone else in blog world notices the quality of your opinion whne it comes to your opinion.

You should hear whats going on about the blu ray release of extended versions of Lord of the Rings! It all has to to with color and whether the screenaps hav any validity to them. The extended version seems to have a green filter over it.

We did make an exception last night - the Vixter and I went to the ONE NIGHT ONLY!!! showing of Company at our local movie theatre.  We really enjoyed it .  I thought Stephen Colbert and Jon Cryer had no business being in the cast but the rest of the cast was fantastic and we were glad we went

I have been keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers especially Cilla and the floods and Laura and the wildfires  which I have been hearing about on NPR on my way to and from work

too bad Cilla's floods can't  be diverted to drench  Laura's fires

Thursday morning greetings.  Thank you all for the vibes and prayers.  My Aunt Jo died about 4 this morning, relieving her sons from having to make some awful decisions.  The prayer now is that she finds a degree of peace that eluded her in life.

Good morning, all! I slept late, and I feel great. I remember one dream from last night about the late Mrs Helen Ball, my first, and maybe still the best, boss I worked for after I finished my M.A.  She was a wonderful, energetic lady, and I worked on her Miami Universty Library staff for a year, 1970-1971. The memories of the dream are vague now, but I still think of her kindly and with great devotion. I also remember bits of another dream concerning high school bullies, a bus, and the flooding Miami River.

I have little planned today; until the work from EILEEN revs up when Curtis finishes the tech of RICHARD III I am rather aimless. I have no other work, so I need to do something creative around the apartment.

DR TCB, I am sorry to hear of the MRSA return.

DR Ginny, I hope whatever occurs with your family situation is swift and for the best of all.

DR vixmom, I hope the Basement Cleanout goes swiftly.

DR Ginny, you posted this while I was wishing for a swift resolution in my last post. I send you, Richard, and your family my sympathy.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I got up around 6:30 and felt fine... Then went back to bed for a bit. Then woke back up at 8:00 not feeling so fine. -Just a bit stuffy headed. Allergies? Summer cold? I dunno. In any case... Good morning.

DR vixmom - I'm glad that you got a chance to take a break last night from your "basement project". *Btw, Mr. Sondheim actually sent a note to Stephen Colbert asking him to be in the concert. So.. ::)

DR Jose, I saw your latwer post about Russell Bennett; in his book about orchestration, Bennett writes that his theory on composer's harmonies is that one must respect them on the first chorus and refrain. After that, he is for chord substitutions for several reasons:
   1. the arrangement may require different chords to accomplish necessary fills, harmonic movement, etc. as the number progresses
   2. after six weeks of hearing the same harmonies played over and over on the piano for all rehearsals, some new harmonies can provide a nice and sometimes welcome surprise.

That is one F***ING good speech. I love that man. Thanks for posting it. An early morning cry at the office.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I love live theatre!
