When they lost a good many of our past columns we were able to thankfully retrieve just about all of them thanks to the archive thing.

Had a rotisserie chicken breast and wing for food - VERY low-cal.  And later I have a little chicken pasta salad for a snack and to bring me up to about eight hundred calories.

I am home from the dentist and now have a temporary crown. I was a bit worried that I might need more than just a replacement crown, but that does not seem to be the case. The money that I saved a couple weeks ago on car repair has now gone to pay the dentist.

Sorry about the expense but the news is good you only needed a crown.

Yes thanks for the encouragement - I found my pages at webarchive.com.......not everything was there.....our show pages weren't - but those are temporary anyway.

I was able to get our Board Page, History Page, Attendance Page, and People of.....page....so there is that.

Thanks, everyone.

Excellent news.

Not much of a political person, but I've decided to watch the debate tonight

I started to watch the debate, but I have to stop.  I just can't watch/listen anymore.  I'll watch MSNBC's recap when it's all over.

Some excitement here this evening.  When my DH last parked my car, he accidentally left the headlights on. I went down to move my car (the building's garage must be entirely cleared for some work being done tomorrow) and... you guessed it. No juice. The remote didn't even work to unlock the door.

AAA arrived fairly quickly got the car running. We drove it around for a half hour; hopefully this will restore the battery for the next time.

Tomorrow afternoon is my in-person follow up with the surgeon to find out what's what, and what other torture may ensue.

And now, it's time for me to leave work.  I'll get something to eat before I go home (I'm just in the mood...maybe Taco Bell :) ), then re-record the Bette Midler Show since I goobered it last night.

Be back later.

I heard that DR ELMORE.....

My dream consisted of you being in an elevator with YOU KNOW WHO and in the ensuing silence you said: "I enjoy your work very much."

And You Know Who replied:  "Why would I give a s#!t what you think?"

So at least you were spared that.....except in my dream.

The only celebrity I can recall running into an elevator was back in the 1990s and I was riding the elevator to the rehearsal studios at 56th and 8th Avenue with Alex Rybeck.  Robert de Niro - or was it Al Pacino? I forget now - was in it with some of his entourage.

The only celebrities I remember running into were on my first trip to NYC. I was trolling a couple of theaters for castoff Playbills. At the Marquis, I picked up on for Dance a Little Closer. I somehow got into an elevator with Alan Jay Lerner and others associated with the show. He asked me how I liked it. I mumbled something about a lot.

Oh, yeah. I’ve seen Tommy Lee Jones a lot around San Antonio. He hates being approached, so I don’t. But he also seems to hate it when I recognize someone at a table next to him and talk to them.

Helen Reddy has passed away.

Sad. I think there’s a movie about her out now. I always loved her voice. May have to listen to Delta Dawn tonight.
