Watching a couple of crapy noirs. This one,I'll Get You, features George Raft late in his career.

Act one went well.  Here's a moment near the end of the act:

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

The arm at the right side of the picture is pug's left hand taking notes.

Well, the ending of I’ll Get You was fun. But it showed how old Raft was. Definitely a stunt double in the climactic fight.

No fumfers at all, except the blood pack didn't pop correctly, so they're going to work on that tomorrow.

TOD:

At Long Last Love
The Wiz
Finian's Rainbow
Hello, Dolly!
New York, New York

Each of these flopsicals is better as a soundtrack, which is how I first encountered all but Finian.BK was right about The Wiz. Michael Jackson is really terrible in it. But I still watch it about once a year. I love Ted Ross, Mabel King and Nipsey Russell

Another bad movie that works better as a soundtrack is Xanadu.  I'll add that to my list.  I remember enjoying the movie for what it was, but the soundtrack is really good and I still love listening to it.

Underrated track is “Dancin’” featuring ONJ and The Tubes.

Sure.  We have lots of cemetery photos as we like to visit them.

If you are serious Keith will email it to you.

Totally serious!

Was waiting for my little daughter to come back to school so I could pick her up this afternoon. She was at a gymnastics field trip with her class, you see. I wait as various cars arrive with the other kids in the class. But not the lady with my kid. Couple other parents were waiting. One girl’s after school daycare bus was waiting. The teacher was back and waiting. I wasn’t worried, but it was… strange. The field trip was a 12-minute drive away. Daycare bus lady was freaking out. She had a bus load of kids. The mom finally pulls in at about 3:30, she’d stopped by to pick up McDonald’s for the kids in her minivan! I wasn’t mad, but… it was not smart.

Tonight I changed trains at Jamaica.

I know that doesn’t sound like a big deal, but believe it or not I’ve had a phobia about it for years.

Having  not done it for at least 20 years or more I was unaware of the updates made and it’s not scary anymore .

Phobia may be too strong a word.

I was very nervous about it and sure I’d get lost

I thought the kids on Zoom were talented, but the Emu’s Pink Windmill kids blow them away.

The People In Charge, cleverly didn’t put any warnings that the road was closed on the entry way one entrance before the closure,  instead choosing to spring the surprise once you were well past any opportunity to avoid it .

I followed some other cars who did a bad thing and escaped the traffic jam and went through back ways to get home

Otherwise I would still be sitting in traffic.

Actually I would probably be the cause of even more traffic because my gas light had come on and I surely would have run out of gas before I got to the part where vehicles were being funneled off the expressway.

The bad thing was zipping down a grassy knoll onto the service road
