Much of what MR BK wrote in the notes about being single is very familiar territory to me.

I just don't think I have the time and or energy to devote to a relationship anymore - I am reconciled to being single for the rest of my life - whatever time may be left to me.

And that's okay.

Friday morning Vixdad presented me with a GPS - he bought me a TomTom.. we experimented with several of teh voices and discovered that only one of the women's voices seemed to 'know" the street names

so that is the one we went with

Watching a movie on blu and ray.  I'm taking a break because I kept dozing off and having to back up the movie.  And tomorrow no sleeping in - I do a radio interview or some kind of interview (maybe a newspaper) at nine.

we took off Friday for "The Sweetest Place On Earth" - Hershey , PA


the GPS directed us through lower Manhattan  to take the Holland tunnel ... this might have been a very good idea at say  3 AM


4 PM on  Friday - not so much

it took us 45 minutes to go one block ... we also discovered that NYC, in its wisdom, has decided that between the hours of 4 PM - 7 PM all routes leading to the Holland tunnel are closed to traffic - the trip was supposed to take  3 1/2 hour s- it ended up taking 5 1/2 because it took 2 hours to get across Manhattan....

then the GPS power connection cord, which plugs into the cigarette lighter, (brand new out of the box 4 hours earlier) stopped working


this was a problem since wewere counting on the GPS and I left my google maps printout at home
