I know it's not "Ask BK/Ask DR" day, but...

How much time do you plan to spend in front of the TV tomorrow?

I work tomorrow morning, but I'll be done at 1:00.  And then I think I'm going to watch a movie.  Or two.

I have some friends who are opening their apartment for an "open party" from 3:00 on...  I just can't imagine being "subjected" to all that election coverage for that many hours.  From 7:00pm on, yes. But from 3:00pm on... No.  -Especially since the most of the polls nationwide won't "close" for the East Coasters until 11:00pm or midnight.

I may actually see a show tomorrow night too.  Apparently, a couple of shows may end up papering tomorrow night if they don't get a last-minute surge in ticket sales.  And regardless of how things turn out, I have a feeling that most of the second acts tomorrow night could be quite interesting.  ;)

I'm not really into the game, so probably not much - maybe a half-hour to an hour to see what's happening.

Yes, I have some left - if you want however many, just do the usual - and be sure to include the name of the CD.

The "new truth" about stretching before exercising.

Yep, that's the way to do it.  I always sort of did that anyway, since when my muscles are "cold", they are "cold!!!!".  Stretching should feel good.  It should not hurt.

I just watched/listened to Leontyne Price deliver "O Patria Mia" from Act III of Aida in her "Farewell" performance at the Met in 1985 on MetViewer.  It is quite emotional, and the 3 minute pandemonium ovation made me cry.

That's an amazing Moment!

And I believe that that "moment" was voted the most memorable moment from PBS Metropolitan Opera broadcasts.

Somehow, when DR Laura says "The sheriff just called," there's this voice in my head that hears "Yoo-hoo, it's me, the Sheriff!"   :D

I'm being very lazy right now because my foot-long Subway turkey sandwich made me tired.  I'm listening to CDs and will open the Nudie script shortly and do some work.

OH!

Does anyone know if there was any sort of "financial threat" or something like that affecting the banks today?

On the way back from auditions, I wanted to stop by my bank to make a deposit, but the line inside the lobby was about 20 people deep, so I walked up 8th Avenue to another branch.  However, when I got to the next branch, the lines were long there too.  -And then I realized that the lines were long in other banks too.  -Then when I got home, my roommate said that when she was in line at Bank of America, they announced that they were closing the lobby area at 4:30 - instead of their usual 6:00.  -And even if you were already in line, they were not going to allow any window transactions past 4:30.  ???

-Does this usually happen on Election Day Eve?

I haven't heard anything.  I asked Keith since he reads the financial news everyday, he hadn't read anything.

i've been running through JoAnn's MySpace photos looking for the photos of Riley and Jayden and Randy on Halloween. I'll have to call her back.

I did find this photo of my beloved brother and sister-in-law. It's a pretty accurate representation of their temperaments.

There's a job for the sheriff!

Since today was the "first" (business) day of the month, maybe that explained the lines.

I like that. We could do a whole series of these:   the camera froze because of her cold heart.
                                                                          vampires don't leave an image
she was so drunk she can't be photographed standing up

And only because I happened to have some pretty interesting political discussions today...

Regardless of who wins tomorrow, we all have to remember to keep working after tomorrow.  Tomorrow is - at it's simplest - the day WE elect a new President.  It is not the day that things will change.  It is not the day when everyone will start to have a better life.  It is not the day when the stock market will suddenly correct itself.  Tomorrow is only the start of all of those things - the start of a very long process.  Keep going.  Keep working.

*And I only bring this up since I had happened to talk with some college students - working for both parties - who did not really seem to know what they were going to do after tomorrow.  Yes, helping to get your candidate in Office is good and honorable work, but making sure your candidate stays on the path is also important - moreso, in fact.
