Yep what a crazy night on tv tonight. Especially with all the NBC shows!

I am most excited about MEDIUM. Yeah! I really hope all those Super Bowl ads might help the ratings (that and being after a new HEROES).

Also CHUCK in 3d (and i found a pair of 3D glasses -yeah!).

I'm wondering if DRs Kerry, Laura and Sandra were affected by this last night:

Comcast investigating Super Bowl Porn feed

*And with all this talk about the upcoming switch to digital TV, well..

"The porn broke into the standard-definition feed reaching analog TV sets. Comcast’s high-definition feed was not affected."

After my busy weekend I am very sleepy and not at all in the mood to work.  Like the groundhog I saw my shadow this morning and would really like to go back to bed and take a nap.

OH my Ginny! WARMEST WISHES THAT YOUR  FURNANCE START WORKING IMMEDIATELY!!!

Thanks, DR Vixmom!  Scott (our nephew) and his brother Rob, our furnace guys, have been here and sort of fixed it.  They need to get a part to fix it for good and will be back later this afternoon.  At least, for now. we have heat.

Oh, when I got off the elevator by the parking ramp this morning there was blood on the floor. And I heard someone left a gun in  the Fed Ex box on the  skywalk.  Makes me wonder if that girl was REALLY after revenge!  Oh my!  (I'm totally speculating, mind you, but it was the first thing that I thought).

Groggy is a good word for how I feel today, too.  Think I'll go home and make lunch.

I'm quite partial to English actors such as Robert Stephens, Dirk Bogarde, John Gielgud, Ralph Richardson, Maggie Smith, Joyce Greenfell, Ian McKellan, Anthony Hopkins, Laurence Olivier, Hayley Mills, Vanessa Redgrave, David Hemmings, Roy Kinnear, Michael Redgrave, Claude Rains, Charles Chaplin, and many others.

Wow, what a great cake DAW!!! Thanks for the wishes

Chocolate, my favorite.

P.S. The card will be opened this evening. I have received 6 birthday cards and will wait to open them all tonight at dinner.

I like when my cards arrive early & I leave leave them out to look at.  To me cards are the best gift.  I like them early because after my birthday Keith wants the mess gone.  He can't complain until then. ;)

I really enjoyed that "Heroes" commercial....I was able to replay and record it on my DVR, too.

Oh, and I liked John McEnery (he played Mercutio in the 1969 Romeo and Juliet)
And of course, Haley Mills during my elementary and teen years

His brother Peter co-starred with Hayley in "The MoonSpinners" and starred as "The Fighting Prince of Donegal", too.  He also had a plum role in the British movie version of "Taking Care of Mr. Sloan."

That reminds me that I also love the late great Beryl Reid, who is the definitive Kath in the film version of Mr Orton's comedy, and she's so wonderful as Mrs Slipslop in JOSEPH ANDREWS that I wish she'd done more Restoration and 18th Century English comedy roles like Mrs Hardcastle and Lady Wishfort.

Thanks for not ripping me a new one for getting the Orton title wrong...of course, it's "Entertaining Mr. Sloane" and not "Taking Care of...".  I corrected it in my original post.

Color me groggy too.  However, after the Noon News, I'm gonna head out for some fresh air, and most likely some Art at MoMA. Hopefully, that will de-groggify me.

I'm curious if there were any commercials that people either loved or hated.

To me there were only a few really good ones. A lot of "what the hecks?". Although some the guys laughed at, and the girls thought "that was so not funny!".

Most people did not seem to care for all the bud horse ones.

No Comcast here, so no porn.

But the online newspaper says that Tucson was affected.

I just figured it was some nouveau indie with the original as a taking-off point.    :)

I just received notice from Amazon.com that my order of the new recording of "Allegro" has shipped.

I'm really looking forward to listening to it.

I'm really looking forward to listening to it.

With such a starry cast and intriguing material, it certainly has great potential!

Received the last piece of info for a very large multi-state, multi-country tax return.  Or at least I think it's the last piece of info.

Tax season is pretty much underway at this point, for me anyway.

Answering e-mails and whatnot.  I had to send a slightly stern e-mail to the author of the long musical.  He'd called the lyricist this morning asking her not to do something I'd already had her do.  Since it was my idea, he should have called me, but I suspect he likes these games of going around people - he's called me about things concerning them, too.  She sent him the revised lyric and the reasons we did it, and he called her to say he loved it.  I wrote him asking him to keep me in the loop about anything concerning the songs - I'm putting in a lot of time working with the composer and lyricist and if we're a team we're a team.  I knew he wouldn't surrender easily, but the reason all this good work is getting done on ALL fronts is because they finally have a team leader.
