Just came back from a walk along the river.  I didn't bring a camera so I can't show what I saw which was basically nothing...

I have two sisters, one sane, one insane.  So both gene pools of my ancestry are adequately represented.  :)

I just found out that if you join the Warner Insider's Program (free) you automatically get 25% off the Warner Archives titles.  There's some interesting titles in the latest batch, including Preminger's St. Joan, The Eddie Cantor Story, Picasso Summer (which I've never seen), and Man And A Woman: 20 Years Later, which I've also never seen.

DtM, I have been meaning to mention for some time, since your quote is from Nin, DS Betsy was hired to do a birthday comedy set for an elderly Jewish woman here in Portland from one of the 'old money' families.  This woman had been a personal friend of Anais Nin's, and Nin had come several times to her house to stay, so Betsy had to come up with a slew of Anais Nin jokes, no easy task.  :)

Grrrrr...  During the past two weeks I've bought pricey navel oranges at two different stores and they were all partially dried up inside.

Jrand, what airport would I fly in to?  The Olympia production isn't until the end of April, so it's probably two separate trips.  I'll try to price out the flight to Indiana.

I can't imagine much more than "That Anais Nin--what's up with her?"

She actually did several very clever jokes (which I may have helped a little with, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say n'more) where Nin toured various landmarks in and around Portland and they became sexualized.  ;)  Also she did a running gag about Henry Miller showing up at the house.

So Henry Miller came home early from writing one day to find Anais Nin's sitting stark naked on her bed and crying...

My mother started laughing hysterically one day in the mid-1960's when she heard a news report that the SLC airport was now "International" because there was a weekly flight from Canada coming in.
