Topic of the Day:

Not counting theatrical latenesses ::) , a few years ago, I was supposed have an early meeting with one of the book vendor reps for the library.  I totally forgot and didn't set my alarm clock correctly.  I woke up to my phone ringing and it was one of my staff calling asking if I was coming to the meeting that started five minutes earlier. :o I JUMPED out of bed, threw on some clothes (and didn't take a shower) and RUSHED to work.  Fortunately since I live so close, I got there in about five minutes and it was all good.  The rep was very understanding.

Today, I have to go back to my sister's to put up more light fixtures and put in a couple of faucets.  Hopefully, it won't take another 12 hours because I have new lines in Hairspray that I need to memorize.  We open on Thursday!

It's coming.  We'll be ready.  It would be better, of course, if we had an extra week or even a second weekend of performances, but it'll be what it'll be.

I hope I survive it all!  Because we're rehearsing around the existing schedule of the Olympia Film Society in their theater, our tech rehearsals on Sunday through Wednesday are all from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm!  Some adults can't be there.  I'm on a hiring committee and have interviews all day Tuesday, so I can't be there that day, but I can come late to work on the other days.
