Well, you've read the notes, the notes flew by but seemed like a week, and now it is time for you to post until the flying by cows come home.

Also tonight is the first read-through for Olympia Little Theatre's next production, Bunbury, to be directed by my friend pug, for which I will be running the sound board.

I don't need to be there, but I want to, and since I'll be part if the production, I can be there. :)

I have a PDF copy of the script, but I'll need a paper copy once tech week starts.

I have the PDF on my tablet with a 10.1-inch screen, so it's very easy to read.

This is my only day of City Center work, which is distressing for me, since I'm not earning enough to supplement my income.  Next month I have the damned property taxes to further complicate my life, and I hate this constant state of anxiety gripping me.

Our flight from Hong Kong to Vancouver, BC was rather bumpy.   Even though Keith doesn't get air sick he found it annoying and kept wondering why the pilot didn't get up above the turbulence.  Usually pilots make some kind of announcement regarding turbulance and what they can or cannot do to avoid it.  We got nothing.

As a precaution I set a barf bag on seat but never needed to hold on to it.  I also ate as little as possible which probably helped.

I watched another Amicus anthology last night and remembered I hadn’t reported on the prior one, FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE.

That had a different feel from the first three I’d watched — it was “quieter”, somehow, with a longer running time and more time for each story. I didn’t think to take these in chronological order, which might have been instructive. But this one’s director was different, too. The Freddie Francis and Roy Ward Baker ones seemed more assured. Still, nice material and certainly enjoyable.

Last night’s, TORTURE GARDEN, was one I had never seen all the way through. Or if I had, it was so many years ago that I’d simply forgotten much of it. American actors Jack Palance and Burgess Meredith provide a different tone, but they’re excellent and it all works well.

I’m loving these, but will have to resume tomorrow since I’ve got a “thing” to go to tonight.

Oh—did I say this before? I got arm-twisted into seeing the latest attempt at MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG on, I believe, February 12th. Obviously I agreed to it, but I do have to wonder what I was thinking, when there are other worthy things that must be seen.
