BK, I forgot to mention about Balanchine's Nutcracker, when the Christmas tree grows to a height of 50 feet or so and the set transforms to gigantic height, the effect in the theatre is amazing and no DVD can capture it. When Balanchine gave the budget for the 1954 production to City Center, they fought the price to build the tree. Balanchine told them, the ballet is the Christmas tree.

The tree is the worst thing when it comes to attending "local" productions.

Maybe there's a book in "Nutcracker" disasters? There are several on stage and opera mishaps, but I've never seen one for ballet.

Last night I dreamed that Joshie and I were at a Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park performance of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.  It was so terrible that it didn't get a single laugh, and I walked out at the end of Act One.

Yesterday we gave each other home haircuts, and today I am feeling considerably less shaggy.

Where has the morning gone to?
Haven’t done half the things I want to.
Oh, well
I’ll catch up
Some other time.

In a Comden and Green mood.

Monday morning greetings!  Sorry to be E & T lately - no good (or bad) reason.  Guess I just haven't had much to say.

They could include the socially distanced Nutcracker in masks I saw this past year.

It says the whole cast will be back. I wonder if that includes Dame Maggie.
