I braved Trader Joe's today. I knew it'd be crowded--and it was--but at least it wasn't mobbed. A few weeks ago I bought a very good apple tart there and hoped to buy another. Alas, no apple tarts. I don't like pumpkin pie and everything else looked too gooey.

Costco was a madhouse, too.

Thanks for the reminder not to go this week.

That reminds me that I need to go shopping for cheesecake ingredients.  I also have to find a good recipe.

And now, I'm off.  I'm going to my sister's to pick up some leftovers from yesterday.  I forgot to get them when we left, so I'm going to finally get them.

Until later.

There must be something interesting going on with Yvonne De Carlo this month that I don't know about.  YVONNE DE CARLO is, by far, my #1 best-selling play for November.    :)

Maybe it's news of the Follies movie. Whatever the reason, congrats! And way to go, Yvonne!

I have started listening to Ta-nehisi Coates's new book, The Water Dancer. I'm deep into the second disc and really enjoying it. I am a little biased, but it is set in the 19th century and it has the feel of a 19th century novel.

I started The Wild Bunch, but I think I'm going to retire. I need some sleep.

I can send you one in the morning though it should have been baked today or tomorrow morning.

Jane, what book did you read this month?

City Girls.  A couple of the women loved it and 3 of us were not thrilled.  It still made a good discussion.  I had intentionally avoided reading it until it was chosen for the discussion.

It was better than I expected.

Back from a frustrating rehearsal.  The only note I gave after was: louder, faster, funnier.  I'll send other notes privately via e-mail.

Sure.  Please send it to me.  The recipe that I was going to use was a Cheesecake Factory recreation.

I have a hold on my library's e-book.  I'm number 1 on 9 copies, so it should be "available soon."

So, here are some pictures of the Colette Collage alternate covers that I received today.  Here's the outside of folder #1:

I also have alternate art folders #3-5.  I assume #2 was used for the original CD release.
