The Banana Splits theme was covered by an Italian hip hop group I like: Articolo 31. They managed to record it without any obvious edits.

One of my favorite TV theme covers is Petticoat Junction as performed by Betty.

And thanks to the BlueGobo website DR Ben informed alerted us to, I've not done a lick of work this morning.  I wish that the video and audio were in sync, but it's a minor complaint compared to the joy of seeing some of these clips for the first time.

Is the storm over on the East Coast, or is it still hanging on (almost a Supremes reference)?

Six Feet Under - great theme.  Echoes of it in "Deadwood" - I've not checked the composer.

Thomas Newman is composer of the "Six Feet Under" main title.

For "Deadwood", takes your choice (i.e., no main title credit given):

Series Original Music by
Shawn Thomas Odyssey   (12 episodes, 2006)
Michael Brook   (1 episode, 2004)

 Reinhold Heil   (unknown episodes)
Johnny Klimek   (unknown episodes)

It would have exploded like my mother's first cake.

Mother's cake exploded in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And she'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

What we got in Philly was nothing compared to the outlying areas.  I saw some cars this morning that looked like they drove in from a Colorado January.

The weather looks like it's letting up some here now.  The winds have lessened and it hasn't rained/snowed/slushed since about 9:00 am.  Hopefully, there won't be any more water to vacuum up in my basement tonight.

DR JoseSPiano mentioned at dinner the other night that if he had not gotten the continuing gig with All About Us, he would definitely have gone down to DC for this event.

When he is available, Jose goes down for a lot of events.
That is all.

I feel it's a part of the same idiocy from directors who believe that no one listens to music unless there's a visual element so operatic  and theatrical overtures are now being staged.

Do a Radio City version - raise the pit on an elevator for the overture - let us see music in the making!

People are out walking in droves.  They're also walking in the City of Studio, as droves is a bit off the beaten track.

DR Jose, I've read with interest all your adventures in transportation and your pit stops.

I wish he would post more about "pit blacks" - I have some Imus jokes ready 8)

The eggs-in-basket are a nice hostess touch; sort of the equivalent of a mint on the pillow.   :)

And also memorable is the old eggs-in-the-blouse touch, a Lucille Ball touch.   ;D

Joshie is running away from me and won't let me touch him. He needs to come to me to be loved. He will forgive me eventually.

Watching Judy Canova mug and yodel her way through a movie whose only purpose was to let her mug and yodel.  She shore is funny....she plays a man-crazy gal known as "Judy Canova."

If it's funny - it will work forever!
