As the mother of a college student who lives in a campus residence hall and takes most of his classes in an engineering building, I can only watch so much of this Virginia Tech coverage.

When I joined HHW, I became curious how the community as a whole might react to a news event of this nature. I actually checked back to see if there was a record of the posts for 9/11, but the board didn't appear to be in this current, archived state at that point.

I just watched that for the first time on Sunday. It was tense and in knots during it, and out of sorts for the rest of the day. Which is not to say that it's not extremely well done, it's just that you have to decide when you're ready to go to that place. And the extras with the families of those portrayed in the film are what really started me crying.

I still can't walk within two blocks of Ground Zero without getting emotional. When my friend, Andy, came up last year, we ended up walking by the site... I had to turn around immediately, I just was not prepared for the flood of emotions that started to overcome me. -And seeing all those "tourists" posing for pictures in front of a mass grave... $:-\$
