I don't like this show much, but here's Michel Riedel's take on the first preview in Central Park:

The buzz and talk everywhere I go today is of the opening ceremony of the London Olympics. And not of Romney? Good.
The buzz and talk everywhere I go today is of the opening ceremony of the London Olympics. And not of Romney? Good.
And the word of the day is: PRECIPITANCY!
TOD, cont.Congrats.
I'm also going to be listening to the "final" audio book version (and note any corrections needed) of ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD: From the Secret Files of Harry Pennypacker, narrated by Scott O'Neill of Seattle.
This will be my first book to have an audio version.
BK:
Are you testing us to see who actually reads your notes?
and I quote from Today's notes"
"Can you believe that August is almost over already? This month has flown by, like a gazelle having a high colonic."
The last time look at bar in the upper right corner of my Mac, it says July 27.

Back from a two mile jog. Shortly I will do errands and whatnot. Meantime, the first two comments on our new Follies remix have been posted:I haven't received my copy today. The mail did not reach me at work.
"Just got my copy!!! Excellent work. Love all the pictures. It's like I'm hearing it for the first time. I will be listening nonstop this weekend. Thanks BK and Kritzerland!!!"
"Wow!!!!
Listening to my copy now. A whole new experience. THANK YOU!"
I stopped at the P.C Richard at 86thand Broadway, and a rather pissy ikd gentleman did some calculatin and told me I need a model costing $580. When I told him i didn't want to pay that much, he dismissed me and that was that. What an asshole.Perhaps his personality needs to be put on ice.
Good morning, all! I slept poorly and I know that at some point this afternoon I will fall over in a daze. Even with two fans blowing on me, the apartment is too damned hot. If I don't go shopping for a portable AC this afternoon, it will happen tomorrow morning.
Opening night vibes for DR GEORGE & Co. Break a leg, and let the blood flow freely!
New car vibes to DR CILLA LIZ. Of course we need pictures.
And of course DR JOSE, we need photos of the wedding!

Since people have inquired how I was early this week. It turns out I have a viral infection in the throat, sinuses and chest. Ain't that fun. The meds I hope will clear it up fast
Opening night of Dear Edwina Jr was great. The audience loved it. Heck, I even loved most of it. Now I'm off to camp for the last official day.

Last night during our final "Titus" rehearsal, the projector kept turning itself off! At first, we didn't know what was happening, but we figured that it was just too hot in the little theater. After the show, one of the actors noticed that the thermostat was turned UP! :o That got changed very quickly! I said that I had a little clip-on fan and that I would bring it to help keep the projector cool, but I couldn't find it. I'll go to the store and buy a new one. I know I'll want another one if I've lost the first one.
Is it just me, but these days whenever I see AC I think Anderson Cooper.
Another belated thanks for the pointer to that TURKEY LURKEY clip, DR TCB.
TODCD playerTurntable - CAROUSEL - studio recording with Alfred Drake and Roberta Peters - which I haven't played yet but it's on the turntable waiting for me.
DVD - EXPERIMENT IN TERROR, which I got halfway through last night before my eyes started closing, but I was loving it. To be completed this evening.
The buzz and talk everywhere I go today is of the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.

DVD:
Red Lights – Terrific 2004 French thriller from a George Simenon novel starring Jean-Pierre Darroussin and the ever-lovely Carole Bouquet ; the plot of which constantly veers off into unexpected directions. It contains a sudden shock scene which made me physically jump!

I hope she is in a happy & peaceful place.

Indeed. I was so excited a few months ago to discover those Gordons.
I miss Susan.
In case ChasSmith doesn't know, even before I'd actually met her, thanks to Jane, I'd named Susan Pomeroy in Benjamin Kritzer after her because I had a big ol' crush on her when I was eleven or so.
Golly, I was just telling Bk word was good on Into the Woods based on the buzz around these parts.
I think Mr. Riedel is reporting on the first night after the second night had already worked out the kinks, no?

So they are showing it on tape delay. I hate watching live sporting events on tape delay. i wonder if NBC will do this for much of the Olympics.

There should be a rule against political commercials during the Olympics. I hit mute on all of them.

I wish I could get rid of the narration by NBC... just let me watch the damn show
Well if you search for 2012 red rav4 you can see what it looks like. I'll get photos this weekend(https://encrypted-tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSPsbKSEUATk3Q6G4-VnwDq6TpXgPof39miPNJMR6ZMGa5BoBYeoA)

Well, I'm off to the theater for our official opening night! Pug (the director) is going to have an opening night party at her house after the show...it'll be a long night! But at least, I'll be able to sleep in in the morning...but not all day, though. A woman who lives in the condo complex where I live (she's also the condo board president) invited me to a barbecue tomorrow. She's invited a lot of her gay friends! Maybe I'll meet someone. ;) One never knows...do one? (a Fats Waller and Ain't Misbehavin' reference)
Be back later...much later!
Toby and Dylan were very quick to point out that the royal corgis looked like they hadn't missed a single opportunity for an extra helping of food or an extra between-meal snack in, like, ever.

I hit mute on most commercials, period. Makes for much saner TV watching.
