He is said to be the best shoulder man in the area.  I would say that he is, at least, the best looking.

But that's all that really matters, isn't it??

Good Evening!

Greetings from Charlotte!

The flight in was very uneventful, however, it did take a while for us to get off the ground.  They had closed the air space off due to the Blue Angels fly-over of Shea Stadium for the Mets' game tonight.  So... When the captain came on the loudspeaker to tell us we were number 30 in line to take off, and all flights would still be grounded for a couple more minutes... Well.. Surprisingly, there weren't too many grumbles from the passengers, and the captain also had a great sense of humor about it all too, so that helped ease everyone's unease.  In any case, I think we only ended up taking off 20 minutes later than scheduled.  However, due to air and air-traffic conditions, the captain was not able to make up some of the lost flight time en route to Charlotte.  However (again), since the captain and most of the flight crew was due to transfer to other outgoing flights from Charlotte, no one missed their connecting flights.

And I have a nice hotel room (again), with a nice view of downtown Charlotte.

And I'm eating a piece of Red Velvet Cake right now too.  So...

Life is good.

:)

-And now time to catch up...

Cillaliz, might I suggest that you enjoy Legally Blond while you are in NYC and then buy the dvd as a souvenir.

Of course, I kinda felt the same way when I saw that "Light in the Piazza" was on PBS, and I had tickets to the tour.

Well, the upside is, Sam can record in on her DVR and watch it whenever she wants to. Like I said, I'm still planning to go and we will have fun. It will be her first Broadway show, so it will be special, I'm sure.

I have to remind myself that up until a few nights ago, Sam thought Central Park was about the size of a city block.  Everything is going to be new to her and it will be fun and special and we will have a real blast.  She's been to Chicago a million times, but Chicago isn't New York, and I'm going to have fun showing her that.

Are you going to try them out in the store the way Jane has been trying out mattresses?  ;)

Cynthia Nixon is going to guest star on Law and Order SVU.  Looks like she's going to play someone with multiple personality disorder. Could be interesting.

I spent the first part of the evening (after mopping the kitchen floor) continuing to listen to the Smothers Brothers. I have completely fallen back in love with them.

Tomorrow, I must dig out the JUDY GARLAND SHOW in which they guest starred. (The other guest star on that program was Barbra Streisand!)

Is LEGALLY BLONDE on MTV a done deal? I thought it was merely speculation with negotiations still to come.

I did watch A NIGHT IN THE MUSEUM. It was a light, frivolous fantasy, but it did make me laugh out loud a couple of times. Seeing Owen Wilson in it, knowing how sad his life is right now, was very sad.

How funny (and sad) that someone who seems to have everything going his way is so thoroughly misguided.

Because I enjoyed Ben Stiller in MUSEUM, I pulled MEET THE PARENTS off the shelf. I haven't watched this in years. Only got about 25 minutes in, but it wasn't as funny as I remembered.

And, after seeing MUSEUM in high def, watching the standard def MEET THE PARENTS right after was a REAL contrast: soft, color almost pale in comparison, etc.

I found MONK's story quite dull tonight. The mystery wasn't much, and the business with the belt was so pointed early-on that it was obvious it was going to be pivotal later. Very weak episode.

PSYCH made me laugh, however, especially Shawn and Gus in the park checking out the nannies and coming off as predators when their intentions were so innocent. Corbin Bernsen made me laugh at the end, too.

I already need them---and knee healing, too!

But my Dad needs them more---he is in the hospital for a brief stay so I'm running around like a crazy person. (Crazier than usual, anyway...)

And I'm on call for work so I keep checking my email...argh.
