Well, you've read the notes, the notes won the Oscar for Best Notes, and now it is time for you to post until the Oscar-winning cows come home.

I'm still up.  Last night, we had another great show with another great audience!  There must've been more than 30 or so people!  We were told that we would need to sell 125 tickets to break even (that averages to about 11 tickets a night) and I think that after last night, we might actually be there!  We could REALLY use a profit-making show.

For Cannibal! last year, we didn't pass the break even point until our last two shows.  Including tonight, we have five, count 'em, FIVE performances that might be all profit! :D Mind you, I said might, but still...we're pretty close!

After last night's (Saturday's) show, we had a cast party in the space.  Music was played, foodstuffs and liquid refreshments (alcohol and non) were consumed, dances were danced, conversations were had and a fun time was had by all.

And now, I'm going to sleep.  It's the first time I can sleep in since last Sunday.  I had to go to work yesterday, so I got up earlier than I wanted. :P

But today, I'll be in bed for quite a while!

Good morning, all! In about 15 minutes I will be ut the door and off to Toyland to scan some music and check on the space.

After that, I'll head back uptown and get to work here. I have several DEAREST ENEMY scores to edit, a ROBERTA score to finish reconstructing, and a new project to begin. Oy! Last night I had one long dream involving Ireland and Miami Unversity, worlds and years apart.

Sorry about the insomnia, Ginny. I've had a spate of sleepless nights lately and know all too well what havoc that causes.

Perfect song for BK's theatergoing experience, which leads to a question: In your notes or last night, BK, you said the production mirrored the movie. But did they add the songs from the movie and cut the ones that the movie left out, such as "How Can Love Survive?" I've seen dozens of productions of "Sound of Music" over the years and the more high schoolish ones reshape the entire show to be like the movie, reassigning the songs, bringing in the ones with Richard Rodgers' lyrics, etc. And oh, how the audiences coo with delight.

I think R/H offers the show with the option of the movie songs now - if I remember correctly from when we last did the show in 2002.

We had a fun evening at Harvey's last night.  Large, appreciative audience and the headliner (Ron Feingold) was HIE-larious.  Wilson HS asked Betsy to Emcee their Annual Auction this year.

The actual AA ceremony starts at 8:30 - but I think TAR will probably be delayed because it is preceded by College Basketball.....we shall see.

I'm sure several people here have had to pray for the serenity to accept those (meaning me) they can't change.  ;)

I prepped for the Oscars by watching the new BDs of both ZAAT and PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE.  Oy and vey.

Sunday morning greetings - again!

Sorry about the insomnia, Ginny. I've had a spate of sleepless nights lately and know all too well what havoc that causes.

Thanks, DR JohnG.  Richard noticed last night that I looked tired and we'd agreed that I would not accompany him to Lima today.  I went to sleep very early last night (before 10:30) and woke up at 2am quite refreshed.  I was up until 6, which is when Richard got up.  I went back to bed and never heard him leave.

Put on your old grey bonnet with the blue flowers on it.
And I'll hitch old Dobbin to the shay.

Last night's insomnia was caused, in part, by the fact that I have not exercised since Monday.  I'm off for a walk around the basement, followed by some lunch and a shower, so - bye for now!

This year I had planned to watch the oscars

I thought the oscars were starting at 7pm and that would cause a problem.

Glad to see they are at 8:30.

I'm still going to miss part of it as I have to pick up my mother and my aunt at the airport. They are arriving on separate flights. Within 20 minutes of each other. But by the time the luggage arrives and I get back to the house I might just miss the first 45 minutes or so.

I really want to see Billy Crystal's opening this year. 9 films to riff on.

I always enjoy seeing Billy Crystal's openings.

Just spent the last hour rewatching all his old openings.
