Vixmom, continued job vibes.

Julie, congratulations on your wonderful accomplishment!  You will remind us when the movie is about to be released.

I just looked it up, and that LINDA, LINDA, LINDA movie sounds cute. I added it to my Netflix queue.

Ooh! Ooh! I've finally lost my "Jr. Member" status (it's the little things in life that matter...)

Speaking of little things, we've been given a final deadline on our new arrival. If the kid don't get the lead out and make his/her debut before this Tuesday, then they're gonna go in and get him/her... (pretty nice Hannukah present, but we'd rather not have to deal with a C-section...  :-\). All "go-into-labor-before-Tuesday-but-preferably-after-Saturday" vibes sent to The Lovely Wife(tm) would be much appreciated...

I hope BK doesn't have to call the cops on himself!

I'm back from lunch (infantile!!! Harrumph-rumph!)

It was very pleasant.  I went to the Oakland Museum and had a bowl of soup and their meat loaf special with salad and rosemary-roasted potatoes. Very yummy and piquant.

I dined solo.  One of my two remaining regular dining partners is out of the office until later this p.m.

The other seems to still be either very, very busy (not even the usual "Good morning, Ron" greeting this a.m.

I don't mind that at all, actually, as I'm not a morning person and gratuitous platitudes are wearisome day after day.

So....either she's busy, or she's still in a snit from yesterday.

Either way, I WIN!

It's deathly quiet in here right now.

No one but me and the clickety-clack of my keyboard.

It's a good time to sing a little, dance a little and do a commercial for myself!

It seems like the third or fourth time I've said this, but sorry for the errancy and truancy!!!

Vibes to all who need them (especially DR Elan's wife) and like that I am off again.

Boy, it was very mild today. I wore a t-shirt and a sweater, and probably didn't even need the sweater. The clouds have moved off, too, so it's just clear, beautiful blue sky.

This coming Sunday, DH Richard and I will attend

CCM's Fall Dance Concert

at the University of Cincinnati.  It will be our first opportunity to see Rob's girlfriend dance - she's a ballet major.  I'm not sure which piece(s) she's in, but I do know that she's very busy this week with rehearsals.

Last night's LIFE was a marvelous episode. Two mysteries solved with an "inching closer" solution to his own personal mystery. And two new episodes next week. If it would do well after HEROES next Monday, I suspect NBC would move it there permanently.

CSI: NY finally concluded its season-long (so far) story arc, and it was a very gripping hour as well. Two excellent shows on opposite one another last night!

Next, I watched today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. The gay characters (and Luke's battling parents) were on prominently today. Doesn't look like the guys will be on tomorrow, however.

I began watching the Carol Burnett AMERICAN MASTERS program. I'm only about 40 minutes in, but I love that it's not a chronological biography of her life. We keep going back and forth between recent, mid-career, and early Carol, and it really keeps my interest up this way.

How great to see some of the singing clips from her show (as well as the two MATTRESSS productions) since it doesn't appear we're likely to ever get them on DVD.

I'll finish AMERICAN MASTERS tonight and then right into STRANGER THAN FICTION. I don't think it's a very long movie.

From Tomovoz:
Quote
another chance to correct a common mistake.

"Whence" makes the "from" redundant.

The rules just keep changing  ???

"From whence cometh these nifty new avatars "

Interesting!  I was curious what “word” would do with this sentence-nothing.  I clicked on whence to see what the on-line dictionary would do with the word and found…

“• Can we know whence comes this good luck?”

I'm spending too much time on the computer again & need a break.  Sherlock & I are off for a hike.  He has been dropping hints, as in ripping apart his new toy.  At least the squeaker was still inside & the stuffing on the ground.
